Ok, 62 players under contract out of the 85 or so under contract right now for 2011.

just under 75M in salaries for 2012, no dead space at all.

Even if the cap next yr stays around 125M, but should be 130M IMO, We would have a ton of space.

For now, lets say McDonald counts 5M for 2012, Goodwin counts 3.7M, and Akers, say 2M.

So add on the 75M and the 10.7M, we have 85.7M committed for 2012.

And we have our core really signed long term.

These are signed for 2012.

QB Kaepernick(2014)
RB Hunter(2014)
RB Dixon(2013)
FB/OLB Miller(2014) - Have high hopes for this kid, as a FB and especially a OLB
WR Crabtree(2014)
WR Williams(2013)
WR Johnson(2014)
TE v.Davis(2015)
TE Walker(2012) - Who I think should get extended this off-season, but that is my opinion.
TE N.Byham(2013)
C Goodwin(2013)
C Kilgore(2014)
OT Staley(2017)
OT Davis(2014)
OG Iupati(2014)
OG Person(2014)
DE J.Smith(2013) - Also hoping he gets extended
DE McDonald(2015)
NT Sopoaga(2012)
NT Jean-Francois(2012)
OLB A.Smith(2014)
ILB Willis(2016)
ILB Bowman(2013)
CB Spencer(2012)
CB Brown(2013)
CB Adams(2013)
CB Culliver(2014)
SS Mays(2013)
PK Akers(2013)
P Lee(2012) - Would like to see him extended to
LS Jennings(2014)

Plus other UDFAs from this yr.

Others That I like that are signed. Ian Williams, Colin Jones. Then Wragge is a UFA, Alex is, Snyder, Gore, the new guys like Rogers, Williams, Costonzo, Grant, Applewhite.

Now for 2011, I expect McDonald to cost 5M, Akers 2M and Goodwin around 3-4M, but these deals might be backloaded.

Before those 3 I have us at 92M, with dead space, which would leave 28M in space before those 3(The new guys like Applewhite, Grant, Williams and re-signed Wragge have minimum deals)

And almost forgot Rogers, lol, I think 3M is a safe bet.

So 92M, add in 14M, about 14M left.

Looks like we have to talk about Soaps contract soon.......he and Lee I would like to see end as Niners......

The guys I hope get extended soon.

Walker, Lee and Justin Smith.

I wanna see Sopoaga play at NT 1st, and then we should extend him if he plays well.

Gore I am iffy on, this would be his 3rd deal and it just scares me.

Trent is the suxors

Retards

You're the type of cat who would blindly follow anything the team does and find reasons to justify it. You really wanna talk sh*t just because it worked out in your favor this time?

Of course you do.

His "retards" comment was not sarcasm, it was him gloating. The problem is, the only reason he was right is because he ignores reality in favor of optimism. It just happened to work out for him this time, and believe me I'm happy it did. I just don't like the fact that he wants to talk sh*t as if he knew all would be well when in reality he would have followed anything the team did with unfiltered Homerism.

He was right. Congrats to him, but save the insults.

I didn't ignore anything, I took a wait and see approach, I wasn't screaming like a girl in the first 3 days of FA. Maybe people should stay calm and not make idiotic predictions on how bad we suck because Nnamdi went to the Eagles. Or because Trent wasn't going to overpay for mediocre talent. Or that Gore should be traded, or that we suck so bad FA's don't want to come here.

I can gloat because Gore came back, our big FA's losses signed s**tty contracts showing their market worth, and I trusted a professional GM over people sitting on computers at home who looked ridiculous.

Cooler heads always prevail

Trust me, man, I'm very glad you were right. I just don't like the fact that you're insulting those who thought it was going poorly - because by all means, it certainly looked bad. I know some overreacted to a ridiculous extent, but that's the way it is with fans, I guess.

I didn't give Baalke or Jed the benefit of the doubt because they have done nothing to deserve it. If a couple more things go our way in this free agency period, I'd say they've earned my trust as a fan.

They haven't given you a reason to trust them, but what has Trent done to make you not trust him? Jed and Trent got Jim in the building, the only thing bigger than that the last few years would be the drafting of Willis and Davis. If a young President and interim-GM can land a coach like Jim (while in a bidding war)...I will trust them in a mild FA year....and not say they are pocketing money for a new stadium

See, this is what I mean when I say you find reasons to justify any move this team makes (or doesn't make, for that matter). If you truly believe that Baalke's skill to negotiate is what lured Jim Harbaugh to coach this team, then I really don't know what to tell you, man. It's quite obvious to most that Harbaugh wanted to coach this team all along and hiring an experienced GM over Baalke would not have affected that very much - and, in fact, having an experienced GM could have made his decision to come here even easier for all we know. In reality, proximity probably had far more to do with it than Trent Baalke and Jed York. Granted, I'm only speculating about that, but you're doing the same in thinking Baalke and York's ability to lure a coach is the real reason Harbaugh is here.

What have they done to make me not trust them? Well, how about not firing Mike Singletary until the end of the season, when it was clear we were out of playoff contention? We desperately needed change last year. This was evident in the first quarter of the season and no moves were made until it was far too late. Or, how about the fact that the Alex Smith era would have ended 3 years ago on any other team? Maybe the fact that Baalke has no prior GM experience and therefor has proven nothing? Or the questionable trade up to get Anthony Davis.

You probably don't see any of that the way I do, but it is what it is. I don't view this team like it does everything right, I view it as a team that hasn't had a winning record in 8 years - because that's exactly what this team is.

while the Davis trade was weird, atleast he hasnt done any idiotic moves.

Like trading engelberger for Middlebrooks, like Nolan did.

Or take Balmer and Rachal over DeSean Jackson, baalke isnt perfect, but he doesnt suck like McClueless.

And If im correct, Baalke was high praise by Parcells. Im good with that.

Yeah, I didn't say he has ruined anything. Up until today, though, he hasn't done all that much to gain praise. I was just giving examples as to why he hasn't earned my trust as a fan (as if that matter, LOL) because the guy asked.

defintely. I agree. He hasnt earned anything yet, but so far he has done good IMO.
Now this one is one of those "How the f*** did we do that?" signings.

Lee could ask for a new deal. I mean Michael Koenen got a 19M deal tho, which is a lot for a Punter.

IMO Gore and Justin Smith will be Niners for the rest of their careers.....dont see management getting rid of these two guys considering what they have done for this franchise, at its darkest time......Soap and Lee Im worried about..........

Lee could ask for a new deal. I mean Michael Koenen got a 19M deal tho, which is a lot for a Punter.

Thats unheard of for a punter.....but I just hope we dont get rid of him.....if we do we better get Mcbrier from the Cowbitc***.....no other punter can replace him but Mcbrier......

FB/OLB Miller(2014) - Have high hopes for this kid, as a FB and especially a OLB

im with ya, we need to keep Lee, one of the best P's in the game.

Im loving our STs.

Akers, Jennings and Lee

Costonzo as our Gunner

Then guys like Culliver, Williams, Ginn can return kicks and punts.

Just get Walker off STs and use more 2 TE sets with him and Vernon.

Honestly man, besides getting Harbaugh, of course I was excited.

But when I heard we named Seely ST Coach and Assistant HC, I was so excited. He had guys like Cribbs in CLE playing awesome.

And costonzo was his ST Ace on kickoffs. Kinda like M-Rob was with us. I have high hopes as well for this ST Unit. McKillop if making team would be good on their too.

It will be interesting at LB.

Willis, Aldon, Brooks and Haralson are likely locks, even tho Haralson sucks.

Then Bowman should make it. I pray Applewhite works out, and Grant I loved when drafted, mad he was waived and picked up by STL.

Then Costonzo also on LB but mainly STs.

I would keep those, and possibly cut Haralson, and keep McKillop or Kristick. I would rather put Kristick on PS.
