Also its good to have a back up that can come and perform should Alex fail (and he probably will fail).

They paid to retain Willis, VD, and in the begining paid Clements. They just don't overpay for a FA. You want them to pay whatever just to get someone even if he ends up messing up the cap (if there is one) and team chemistry?

We are several millions under the cap. We have to get some experienced veterans. This building through the draft hasn't worked out for the last ten years. As for the salary cap, let them worry about it.

They have done what they said they will do, build mainly through the draft. They have paid just this year to bring in the best head coach candidate.

They are spending their money on the wrong people. Also they made bad mistakes in the people they hired who were in charge of spending that money.

It absolutely baffles me how many people are anti-McNabb. Have you guys looked at his career stats? Or just blinded by last year?

McNabb doesn't have the heart that he used to have, he made that very apparent last year. He reminds me of Randy Moss. Then again Kevin Kolb is hot s**t on the market.

signing Palmer or McNabb would make this season's expectations skyrocket for me. At the moment, I'm thinking 4-12.

McNabb has had an amazing carreer and was always underated and under-appreciated by Philly fans, but that's just what philly does. But his ship has sailed.

My biggest fear with McNabb is more in terms of Reid letting him go as well as not gelling with Shanahan.

Reid knows QB's, it's hard to argue that there is a better coach in the league at evaluating QB's. He stuck his neck on the line and chose McNabb when it was extremely unpopular in Philly, he then did the same with Kolb, and stuck his neck again on the line for Vick. Every QB move he makes seems to be successful... even his backup QB moves with Garcia and Feeley in the past. When Reid decided to let McNabb go that was the biggest red flag in my mind... and this was pre-Vick breaking out last year. He was willing to let an established vet go and take his chances with Kolb (who was supposed to be the starting QB) and Vick (who was mainly used as an option QB the year before).
