I'm a f**king idiot... .. .

Haralson was hurt in Detroit. Aldon played a lot then too, probably more. Funny how against Detroit he had a similar dominant performance.
For some reason playing time has a large correlation to Aldon Smith's performance.

me too. and i'm happy i was.
Aldon Smith, Missouri's modern-day Deacon Jones, prefers a subtler way to describe the feeling he gets when smashing into a quarterback. "A sack feels like a kiss from a girl you like a lot," Smith said.

A kiss? Aldon, you must elaborate.

"It's just something," he said, "that makes you feel really good."

Smith pauses to reconsider his metaphor.

"Or it's actually like getting a paycheck," he said. "You know how you work so hard all week, and then it's like, 'Damn, I finally got paid.' Hard work pays off."

I watched Aldon Smith quite a bit the last couple years (I'm originally from Missouri and try to follow Mizzou) -- anyway, I knew from watching him that he was better than some had said -- but with his injury last year I didn't know how good he could be. My over/under was 8 sacks -- but the kid is a beast....
We're looking at possibly the defensive rookie of the year and a once in a generation player
He's close to Jevon Kearse's NFL record of 14.5 sacks by a rookie
imagine if he'd played as many downs as rookie Von Miller(11 sacks) this season,I believe he would've
shattered the record.
Excellent pick by T.Balke & the 49ers
18.

I say he goes crazy and breaks the 49er Record. ;-)
What's the Rookie record again? 49er record?

Already broke it, it was 12 set by charles haley in '86.

Correct...he broke Haleys rookie record and I think the Niner record is 17 or 17.5 by Fred Dean. 13 ain't bad for a "reach".

Actually I think its 14.5 by Kearse.

EDIT: just confirmed, he had 14.5......and never again got close to that number.
