If Sing remained coach, we would have tanked the last game against the Cardinals, ending up with the #5 overall pick; Sing cuts Alex Smith during training camp, publicly labels Alex Smith the "worst QB on earth"... and we end up drafting Blaine Gabbert cause he sold Singletary at the combine that he's a tough QB that does what he's told.

Singletary is then fired after the bye-week after us getting our asses stomped in at Detroit (making it the second stomping in a row to an embarrassing 32-0 shutout at Lincoln Financial Field to the Eagles).

-Manusky takes over as interim with the team standing at 1-5; routes and inspires the team to 7-7, with the 49ers, Cards, and Seahawks all tied with 7 wins going into week 16, with the 49ers once again in a position to finish 9-7 clinching the West if they win at Seattle & St. Louis. -But sadly... due to inept coaching/GM chemistry between Baalke and Sing, and FA/draft mishaps the 49ers finish 7-9 and miss the playoffs for its 9th season in a row...


Jim Harbaugh shocks the NCAA and takes Michigan to the BCS Bowl; Patrick Willis demands a trade, and goes to the Dallas Cowboys, Frank Gore retires, and backup Alex Smith starts the season for the Indianapolis Colts in place of Peyton Manning on IR, flourishes under Peyton Manning's guidance; leads Indianapolis to its 3rd Superbowl appearance within the past 6 years.
