why? its not like Haralson is good and Gibson has shown nothing so far. I think at the right price we could have a good LB core, plus Lawson is great in coverage
My thoughts exactly. I'd still use him in all the coverage, set the edge on runs, and occsionally blitz roles.. Haralson shud be gone if you ask me..

He was a goner even without the drafting of Smith.

yes we need him as a coverage LB he is one of the best in nfl at that
Agreed !!!!
Definitely need him back. I said it in another post but on 1st and second downs, having Lawson and Smith in at OLB... there will be no outside running like there was against Parys. RB's will be forced to cut back into the strength of our Defense where Spikes and Willis will be waiting. On 3rd downs a Brooks/Smith/Laboy (maybe) rotation for our rush should get some pressure.

Yes. Maybe we can convert Lawson to CB.

I would if he isn't asking for too much. Still need depth at least. Lawson or Laboy will be resigned unless we draft another OLB in the next couple days.

If he's a restricted FA, we may keep him one more year.

We should definitely try to get him back. He helps a lot against the run. Stuff that doesn't show up in stats and is good in coverage. We are going to get destroyed by TE's with smith and parys

with the "Smiths" creating havoc off the rightside...
Whoever plays Sam is sure to get plenty of oppurtunities to make alot of plays in the backfield, I hope its Manny
Brooks, Gibson and/or Laboy for depth, Trade Haralson (for J,Johnson)

Get him out of here and tell him to take Parys with him.

Compared to what? I would take half a dozen other starting 3-4 LB's units over that squad.

Seriously? I dont even think Lawson is that good, I rather replace him. But Willis and SPikes are maybe the best ILB combo in the league. If Aldon has a decent rookie year, and we get a decent guy opposite him, we will have one of the best LB corps in the league.
