Eric Davis is new 49er color analyst, Plummer apparently out

Just saw this article posted on the Niners official homepage:

Davis Joins U.S. Bank 49ers Radio Team

So, we will have a new color analyst teaming up with Ted Robinson beginning next season (if we have a season

).

What do you guys think? I actually liked Gary Plummer and am surprised by this.

Davis is cool but I really liked Plummer, kind of blows. Plummer used to clown our playcalling and coaching all last year, maybe he got in trouble for being too honest.

I haven't listed to the 49ers radio broadcasts since before I got Sunday Ticket in 05 but I really liked Plummer. Wonder why they fired him but Eric Davis is likable and knowledgeable too. Not sure if people will like him as much as Plummer though.

Dont see the connection. Deion picked off a few as well, and he redefines being a punk.
