For those of you that pick Young over Montana, I'm curious who you think is the best QB of all time from any team is.

Joe Montana, but Young is my all time favorite Niner. I believe Floyd pre-injury was better than Rathman, but I chose Rathman cause he also is one of my all time favorite Niners.

I respect them both. I just like Steve Young's style of play, so I went the lefty. You really can't go wrong with either QB.

I like Vick's style of play better than Brady but there's no way I'd pick him on my team over Brady

Back off dude! We're all entitled to our own opinions. Montana and Young are both fantastic QBs.

ooooooooohhhh touchy relax, just curious how and why you chose Young.

Beasley was a bad dude, no doubt.....he wasn't Rathman.....Rathman is and always will be the man....NO DOUBT!

NINERS4LIFE!!!

Not only is this post 110% correct, that was a fun old video to watch. Thanks!

Best of all? He's teaching our running backs! In the WCO!

What offensive scheme am I running?

Is this team supposed to compete against modern day players?

YOUNG, HEARST, RATHMAN, RICE, OWENS, DAVIS

Although, it really could be ANY of these options with the exception of JJ. That guy COULD have been really good

played with the Niners 8 seasons, same as Rathman, but was twice all-pro at FB. was widely considered the best blocking FB in the NFL for several years.

Fred Beasley is the best FB the Niners have had in the last 30 years, no question. everyone is just saying Rathman because he was there in the glory days.

Rathman could actually move the football, be it through the air or on the ground in short-yardage situations. Beasley was the best blocking FB in the league when he was with us, but he wasn't really an option when it came to getting the rock.

Rathman was actually somewhat of a threat, while Beasley was a lead blocker and nothing more.

QB
Steve Young- don't get me wrong I have Montan rated as the #1 QB of all time. However if I'm putting these guys with our current OL although I think the OL has potential I'm going with Young's scrambling/rushing ability here. Can't go wrong either way as the 9ers have the best QB pedigree of all time

RB
Frank Gore- when all is said and done I think Gore's will make a strong case for greatest 9er back of all time. Where's the Million Dollar Backfield in this discussion?

WR
Jerry Rice-GOAT! John Taylor- very underrated could have been a star if not in Jerry's shadow. f**k TO

FB
Roger Craig- again where's Joe Perry in this discussion?

TE
Vernon Davis- biggest physical freak of all time at the TE position is to tough to resist.

Not even close to the player Rathman was.

oh really? how so.
