I'm glad you got such blind support for Harbaugh, but I don't. No amount of coaching going to turn turd into gold. Just ask the last 2 coaches who tried..
lol nolan and sing? they ruined alex more than helped him
Really. I didn't know Mike told Alex to fumble the ball when an Eagle defender wasn't 5 feet from him or tell him to throw high almost killing his wideouts each drive.
asinine comment is asinine.
Why because it true... Norv and Martz couldn't get Alex to be above average. What makes you think Harbaugh will be able to do any different. What is he going to wish upon a star and poof Alex will be good?
actually, Alex was starting to excel in Norv's offense before Norv flew to coop to SD.

With proper coaching and development IMO he can do it. But do we want to wait 2 more years? Alex needs 2 years in the same system to get it. And here we go again. I don't count NoWin and Dingleberry because they have no clue how to develop QB's.

He never took a snap under Martz, and QB'd a team from a 4-12 record to a 7-9 record. You're argument blows.

I still think we should bring back Alex just to irritate fakers. The depth to which alex smith's presence exasperates him is comical.

Alex could actually be a bargain stop-gap or #2 QB. no one is saying or asking Alex to take us to the Super Bowl.

He can definitely be a stop gap guy that can buy us 1 year. And IMO he can be a better than average #2. He's been good sometimes coming off the bench when he doesn't have to think about it too much. When he thinks too much he psyches himself out. We can be 8 - 8 with him I'd say. If you go with a rookie you can be looking at 3 - 13. It shouldn't be overlooked no matter how remote it seems.

fixed!
appearntly you don't get that you alex lovers are the minority... Outside the internet. Most 49er fans fall in our camp of no more Alex... Hence why he gets booed every time he touches the ball. It wouldn't just be pissed Sunsweel or myself off if he returns. It be pissing off most of the faithful and if you do that. Nobody bothers to show up to games..

I hate to say it, but even though I think Harbaugh is being a bit too idolized (like Obama was when he came into office), I would be ok with Smith coming back if Harbaugh thought it was the right thing to do. What I don't know is what Baalke thinks about Smith. It would make me feel better if I knew that Baalke had NOTHING to do with selecting Smith #1, because then he woudln't be trying to make himself look right and keep Smith for that reason.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think it the coaches or the GM that wants Alex back. It's the Yorks. I truly believe they don't want to accept that picking Alex first and paying him all that money was a waste.
