The type orf coaches who are so grateful in fact that they will play along with Jed's fantasy camp where he plays a strong NFL executive that knows what he's doing. Oh and lets not forget Jed's good buddy Marathe. You think the Yorks are going to hire someone that would come in and wipe out any influence currently held by Marathe and push little Jed to the background?
This is exactly how I feel. Yorks are all about their ego and pocket. This what happens when you got kids running an NFL team, eight years of losing streak.

WHy do people keep wanting us to hire a G.M? I know ScottyMac sucked, but Baalke had a very good draft. Whats wrong with keeping him around?

I'm willing to bet that the 49ers new HC will be Stanford's Jim Harbaugh.

I'm sure loving that McNabb-Shanahan connection that you were most likely touting

Ted Robinson was on KNBR yesterday when someone called and went into a rant about the Yorks and how Jed was too young, etc. Robinson politely informed them that Jed is a very bright guy, and he really gets it. He understands the way a franchise should be properly run and will be "making some changes."
Other teams are a good resource in a situation like this as well. We must remember, this league is considered a joint enterprise. They practiced revenue sharing before Obama ever dreamed of it. Therefore, when one franchise is struggling, it behoves other owners to help get them back on the road to profitability. Right now the 49er brand isn't selling well at all. That hurts other teams and players. We can be sure Jed is getting plenty of advice about how to get this train back on the tracks.

Gruden would be alright, but as big a McNabb fan as I am, I think he is washed up. His numbers are worse than the QB you take every chance to bag on. Personally I think Harbaugh might be a better call if he had the right coaching staff. We are f**ked at QB unless Luck somehow falls to us, the others are not looking worth a high draft pick.

But if we get a guy who can really rush the passer, it might be just as good in the W/L column.

Agreed, we really need someone that is a natural pass rushing machine, but we also need serious help in the defensive backfield.
