Well, Sing did say that both Alex and troy could play this Sunday. So maybe we'll see Alex in the redzone.

Yes, there are probably QBs who are more successful in the midst of chaos. Perhaps Troy is better than Alex in such a scenario. But if your offense is chaotic, you will probably lose anyway.

The better road is to have a non-chaotic offense. Then play the QB who does better in a non-chotic situation.

He had two good games because nobody had any tape on him. Since then, he's been worse than any other QB in the league. In his last three games he's been worse than Alex ever has been (since his rookie season, which was almost this bad). The biggest knocks on Alex are his indecisiveness and his short accuracy problems. Troy Smith is much worse in both of these regards.

This is yet another case of guys who have had an ego clash only to realize that they actually agree with each other. In this case it was my ego that caused the problem.

Totally agree with your post... except I think Troy has at least been better than Jimmy Clausen, hasn't he?

It's not because I think Troy is a bad quarterback by nature, just that he needs to have a whole offseason and special schemes if he is going to be effective sustainably.
