Why are there quotes around it if it is not a direct quote?

And way to take it completely out of context to make him look like a fool.

He said IF we make the playoffs then we deserve to go. And he is right. If the rules state we deserve to go, then we deserve to go.

Misleading thread title, false quote, this crap used to be warnable. No wonder niner talk went to crap.

apparently b***hing and moaning is much more relevant to a conversation than factual accuracy. As if we don't have enough stuff to be pissed about already, lets make some up too!

Pretty much my point. Sing says enough stupid crap that you don't have to make stuff up to bash him. Stick to the facts.
At some point I wish people will stop putting everything on Sing and realize that you can only coach mediocre player until a certain point, and you can only gameplan with mediocre players to a certain point. There comes a time where those mediocre players won't execute and that time is more often than not. We only have a few players worth keeping around; VD, Willis, Gore, Lee, Iupati, Staley, Davis, Baas, Crabtree (just because we spent such a high pick on him), D.Love, Justin Smith, Man-Law, Dixon, and Westy. Everyone else is nothing close to impressive. Brooks dropping that INT, and Clements getting dogged by VJ on that bomb shows that we have mediocre players and thats why we always end the season with mediocre results.
"Deserves" got nothing to do with it

Do you want to know what is pathetic? That list of keepers you just listed is much larger than the list of '81 and '84 SB winners rosters. Coaching makes the difference.

The SB 49ers never had more than 1 (count em 1) O-lineman that would have made this list.

The '81 SB champions had a Defensive backfield with 3 rookies and one toss out by other team.

To me it's pretty pathetic when people talk about the only talent we have is: and then list 12 or so players.

Sounds like nobody here actually heard the press conf. He was asked directly if the team makes it into the playoffs with a 7-9 record if they deserve to go. Do you really expect him to say, "No. If we make it at 7-9, we will respectfully decline to enter the playoffs"? C'mon man!

EXACTLY!! what a bunch of pusses on here talkin sh**

Whatever brother. How hard would it have been to say, "we are not thinking about the playoffs, we are thinking about our next game."

That would have been a much better answer than what he chose to say.
You get what you deserve.

Sing deserves to be fired for putting all of his chips into the Alex Smith basket.
