Great points, great post. I do agree with jreff though, I am curious to see how his drops compare to the tops WRs and the rest of the league

I hope the niners look to trade Crabtree. I dont like him as a player and I dont like his attitude as a person.

I would have drafted Micheal Oher instead.

Crabtree has a lot of work to do if his actual performance is to equal his rep in the 'zone.

Well, we only have your word to go by. Our bigger need was at wide receiver and we got the one that was the concensus top receiver in that draft. Third year is when receivers usually break out anyway

I don't think you can criticize him as much as a lot of people do on here or try to exaggerate on what he's done so far. Give him another year before we start calling him a bust or HOFer

Actually Oline was our biggest need we only drafted Crabtree because he dropped due to not running the 40 before the draft.
Also I dont think his ceiling is very high due to lack of break away speed. Crabtree can be a good possession WR if he improves his route running and his hands. Because you cant be slow and have bad hands.

The Raiders also had something to do with Crabtree dropping. As far as need, I thought the offensive line would have been serviceable with even mediocore QB play(then assured when we signed Pashos) so I thought we had a bigger need for impact players. I was wrong, but couple the fact that Crabtree dropped to us and with our lack of receivers, I would have done the same at the time.

I dont know but i found this strange, and it's from the GOAT. As far as im concerned Crabs needs to put that pride aside and reach out. Because regardless of what anyone says, he can learn a thing or two. s**t maybe even 3, 4 or 5.
Anyway here's what was said.
Rice is excited that new coach Jim Harbaugh plans to reinstitute the West Coast offense. As for whether wide receiver Michael Crabtree can succeed in that system anywhere near Rice did, an accomplished tutor is available. But Rice is unsure if his help is wanted.
"He maybe took offense to things I said about him holding out (as a rookie)," Rice said of Crabtree. "Just say we haven't bonded. If you want me to work with you, I don't have a problem."

LMAO yeah right. I mean Crabs aint anyone to refuse help or not reach out. The great one has spoken, now lets see if Crabs is a real man, and reaches out for help. My guess tho...... he probably wont.

I say it's arrogance over pride. Either way he needs to call Jerry ASAP.

Crabtree for Andre Johnson straight up. Let's do it!
Personally I realize he has some pride/diva-ish reputation but I believe the skills are there. He should work out with the GOAT and then when the niners have a quality football thrower....watch out.
