Heard on NFL network yesterday that Julio Jones worked at the combine with same stress fracture that Crabtree did not work out with. This and him missing all of pre season with a minor neck injury, no wonder VD called him a punk b***h.

I personally think he did it so he wouldn't have to run 40. He probably would have ran a 4.60 or higher time and would have made him drop to the bottom of the first round or maybe even second round.

I was thinking the exact same thing while watching last night. Julio did it cause he had nothing to hide. He was arguably the best WR performer in Indy over the weekend, even with that injury!

I doubt Crabtree could have pulled the same thing off if he would have participated.

julio also had something to gain, trying to leap frog aj green, if julio is the clear cut #1 wr, is he running at the combine?

Good point. Probably not.

Well Crabtree probably had something to gain if he felt he was best WR in the draft. He could have gotten drafted higher, but obviously he knew his short comings so it was probably a good business move for him.
Crabtree has been hurt by the same things that have hurt Alex Smith over length of his career - inconsistent play/cohesivness of the offense, coaching, and a lack of creativity. Crabtree can play, no doubt in my mind. The whole injury thing last year in the preseason hurt him and Smith. They had no chemistry. Smith's chemisty is with VD and Gore. Jimmy Raye's calling card was working with TE's. He helped make VD a Pro-Bowler. Jerry Sullivan was credited with making David Boston, Anquan Bolden, and a few others great WR's but he never made an impact. Expect to see 'Tree get OFF under Harbaugh. He's our 1st offensive coach of note since Mooch. 'Tree, Ginn, and Morgan will play a whole lot better under Harbaugh. No doubt!!!

i dont think he's overrated, i just think that we've not seen his full potential just yet due to the plays of our QB..

Remember, a guy name Anthony Carter was suppose to be all world, but with Wade Wilson and Tommy Kramer at QB, he never got to show his full talent..

I am still waiting for him to have a very good year.

Until he does that, and regularly, I have to think that he is overated--at least in this forum.

Most people seem to think that he is great, but so far his production has been no more than decent.
I don't think he has been playing in an offense that gets WRs rated, let alone overrated.

I agree 100000% this shud be a better year for him. I even think morgan can do well atleast 60 catches

Wow! Great points. And it just goes to show you that receivers don't dominate their first years, unless you were Randy Moss.
