At QB right now who gives us the best chance to win?

Alex Smith or Troy Smith who do you think gives us the best chance to win.

Note:
Ok i know both Qb has there faults. Please don't hate on either. Just curious
what 49ers fans think.

Alex Smith
Pro Good on the short pass.
Con Not very good on deep passes, Holds the ball too long

Troy Smith
Pro Strong arm
Con Not ready yet makes mental mistakes. Take unnecessary risk.
Alex
Pro: knows the entire playbook, has better chemistry with the receivers, more accurate than Troy
Con: tends to have at least one WTF moment in every game

Troy
Pro: very good at extending plays, supposedly a good leader
Con: has to extend plays because he tends to not see wide open receivers, holds on to the ball entirely to long and takes to many sacks, does not know the entire playbook.

They both are terrible and couldn't make 3rd string on a real team.
Andrew luck sitting on the bench for 2 or 3 years! haha That is the only option now. it's to late for alex we f**ked him up and nolan turned him into a p***y with his don't take shots down field, hey im going to throw you under the bus like are oc and head coach seem to be doing to are current players. until we find a leader that can expect he's f**king up and that he's the problem o wait that means taking blame for one's action's like running in iform all game when your team can't even do a simple swing pass correctly let alone run against 8 in the box. And i still don't get why we don't have a pass play call also for the qb to adjust the play so when he see's eight he goes o wait change the play to a pass!
Nate Davis (demote David Carr to the practice squad) already seen what Alex Smith, Troy Smith has done might as welll see what #7 has!

Nate Davis is hot garbage! Just look at what Troy Smith did but multiply the suck by 10 and you have what Nate Davis will do.
They actually have a chance to win with any of them? Really? Not from what I've seen.
If we go Spread Alex.
We´ve seen it last year he looked like a true #1 pcik overall when we played teh shotgunspread.

If we go Fysical
probably Troy

If we now go spread and winn a couple of games, we´ve just shot ourselves in the foot again by ruining our draft position.

It´s clear that we need a Qb, passrusher DB. ( the same thiong we have been lacking since the rebuilding began)..
Alex Smith is like a stain that simply will not go away. In the current offense we want to run, Smith is a poor quarterback, he just isn't that good. He gives up on 50% of the plays, and makes unbelievably idiotic mistakes 1-2 times each game. In the spread offense (where we throw 90% of the time) Smith can be very good, but since we are not going to run that f*#@ing offense, then why on earth are we putting Smith back in?

Troy Smith makes plays, and does not make as many mistakes. I thought this was Singletary's ideal quarterback for his silly ass offense.
In the current offense we run, Troy Smith is BETTER. Just plain BETTER. He makes PLAYS. You can't understate how important that is from the quarterback position.
He makes throws that we NEVER see from Alex Smith. The throw to Vernon Davis (the one on the sideline), was a perfect example. Alex Smith would never have tried to make that play, but Troy Smith has the guts and ability to make a big play like that happen, yet also avoid tons of turnovers.

Maybe we are putting Alex Smith back in the spread, but at this point, the idiocy is getting out of hand. If Singletary wanted to run the spread, he would have done it by now, right?

Even if you multiply the suck by 10, you'll still have a guy who makes plays, although only 1/10th as often as Troy Smith; which would make him the second best play-maker we have on the team at the quarterback position.

Not even close, For every 1 play that Troy makes he misses 50. There is a reason why he has to extend plays, it's because he doesn't have the knowledge of the playbook to know where everyone is supposed to be so he has to attempt improvise on every single play. Even then he is so inaccurate that he doesn't even complete the passes.

I think if a quarterback completes 30+ yard touchdown passes hitting the receivers in stride, he is accurate. If the quarterback misses on slants or curls, it is more a result of timing with the WR's etc.
I would certainly agree that Alex Smith hits the short slants, curls etc, better than Troy Smith.
The double standard of course, is that we just kind of threw the guy in there, with almost no practice time, where Alex Smith has had a full season and another full off-season and training camp to practice the offense.

Perhaps we can agree, at the very least, that going back to Alex Smith makes Singletary look completely ridiculous, doesn't it?

hitting receivers in stride? Most of these so called 30+ yard TD's that your talking about were not hitting the receivers in stride. Hell look at the TD to VD( I love that ) against GB. That was all VD on that play. VD is the one that broke the tackles to take it to the house. Troy had two good throws against GB and that was about it. The pass to VD that was dropped and the pass to Ginn that he couldn't get his second foot inbounds. Every other pass was horribly inaccurate.
Neither with this oline.

OLine has played pretty decent the past 2 weeks.
