I think we have the dumbest team in football when you factor in everything...decision making, knowing the plays, scheming, adjustments, getting a stadium deal done.

Bay Area? What about the entire NFL?

Buffalo might be close, but who else could be more incompetent on all levels??

We have to remember one thing, all the coaches and the players are good enough to be at the NFL level. The Yorks have done nothing but being lucky to own the team.

I feel pretty dumb about boasting how good the niners were going to be in the beginning of the year to all my friends who are fans of other teams. Last time I ever do that

During the pre-game show, Jimmy Johnson argued that teams often win because of an absense of mistakes, more than because of making big plays. He put a premium on intelligent players and the need to not make dumb mistakes. He pointed to Atlanta as a smart team, a team that has few penalties and turnovers.

Much of this team was put together by Nolan and McLoughan. Whenever I heard their interviews on KNBR, I was usually underwhelmed by their comments, struck as if they were not exceptionally bright. If that was true, then they probably did not place much premium on intelligence when evaluating the talent they drafted.
