Initial indications are Frank Gore's hip injury shouldn't be an issue long-term, but team will not know for certain until more testing done
Screw Jason, I'm waiting to find out what Sing saw after watching the tape before I write off Frank.

His record as the feature back more or less spells that out. His utilization rate and poor YPC and YPT bears it out.
This season he got a ton of touches and didn't do all that much with it. If he'd done more, you can bet we'd have more than 4 wins right now. And the fact is, when you get that 50%-60% of your team's touches, you have to produce at a special level of efficiency in order for the team to be successful. Gore can only do sometimes.
His cumulative stats look decent, but they hide what a horribly unproductive year he's had from an efficiency standpoint.
I nominate this for Worst Post of The Year.
I second that.
Btw, I hope the OP was using sarcasm, for his sake.

Playcalling and OL is the main reasons for Gore's and our QB's limited success.
Read Eric Branch's "Silver Lining" articles today. By the way, I think Branch is the new star among the sprotswriters. He does his research and p[uts together a very cogent and insightful series of observations. Too bad our coaching staff is less insightful than a writer.

I'll go read it right now.
I totally agree with you about him. He actually uses meaningful statistics, too.

It seems to me like he does his research in the WZ, and he's awful.

Well, it seems he won't be finding anything insightful to steal from your post.

We'll never know the actual severity of how Gore's hip will effect him until Frank goes under the knife, and whether or not it will heal properly.
If the hip deteriorates after surgery, Frank will definitely have to retire. But even if he recovers his performance will be half of what it used to be.
If Dixon keeps maturing/producing within the next 5 games, Gore will probably be a New England Patriot next fall.
