Troy looks like a smart dude and has a lot of talent. I bet he's worked hard so that he won't have a repeat of the Bucs game.
Sorry but after seeing the game again, I dont think Troy had a BAD game... A lot of things could have been done better but comparing to other recent QB play I wouldnt say bad... If Alex played the same game some would say it wasnt his fault, The O-Line sucks.. Since I'm not one to make Alexcuses he does need to get rid of the ball quicker being we know the protection wont hold.
He had a bad game; just not an Alex Smith bad game...

Troy made three good throws...the TD to Crabtree and two to Vernon. Everything else was average...and he missed too many plays that should've resulted in more points. He got lucky on the sack where he dumped the ball off while going down. Against teams like GB, SD, the Rams and even Seattle, he'll need to play much better. The Niners still need to draft a QB and sign a FA for next season. SMith has beaten two awful teams in Denver and 'Zona, was lucky to beat the Rams and was shut out by the Bucs. 'Til he beats a top team, I'm not on his bandwagon.

Totally agree. I don't care if the stats aren't there...just find a way to win and you have my support! With time, the stats will come, the timing with the WRs will be there and the knowledge of the entire playbook will come into play. But if you can overcome hurdles and find ways to win (unlike the last guy), you're ok in my book.

Singletary is rolling the dice with Troy. Alex knows the Cards defense, and Troy is going against them for the first time.

That should say more about how bad Alex is and that they really don't wann him to start.

Troy has only looked good against 1 team and 1 team only and that was the Rams. He struggled against the Broncos and Cards and was shut out against the Bucs.

Again, I keep thinking to myself... Man, we had that one guy that played his f**king heart out and just wanted to win... I know he had a noodle of an arm... but...
Troy's got a f**king cannon, though.

Who cares? He's 3-1 as a starter of a bad team that was 1-6 before he took over, and this without the benefit of training camp and while riding the bench as the 3rd stringer for the first 2 months (meaning no reps at all).
Seriously man, what exactly do you expect?

Troy was mediocre, but it's hard to gauge any QB when he's being tied down/disallowed to open up a rhythm/rapport with his receivers.
When you see Michael Crabtree wiff his vision off of a ball resulting in an interception, that's usually a sign of zero/poor practicing, reps, & preparation.

Troy makes some good deep passes. Although, he is not accurate on short and mid range passes. This is obviously crucial. He has the intangibles, but unfortunately he is too inaccurate to be a quality starting NFL QB. He managed the game okay today, but overall he didn't play that well. At least he hasn't been a turnover machine.
I'm gonna get ripped for this, but in this extremely small sample size Alex Smith looks better. He is more accurate on the short and mid range passes, although, Troy throws the deep ball better. If Alex gets this kind of run support he would have obviously wont this game.

WHAT??? wasn't Alex smith the one who struggled all year in short and mid-range passes (ex:overthrown tochdown to Norris and a thousand other bad passes). dang i wonder when people gonna get over Alex, he's benched and he still a cancer. People just can't be happy for a QB who's winning. please get Alex out of your mind,He will only lead to ulcers and tumors, not trynna bash you brother, i just care about a fellow zoner's health
