in all fairness, neither did jr...edward sr. bought the team and essentially gave it to him almost in the same fashion as john to jed. probably the big difference was at the time eddie took the team he was successful at building malls within his father's real estate co.
Don't always agree w/Ratto, but in this case he's right on the money. It's time for the brutal, honest truth...are you listening, Jed?

i thought he just handed it over to her, i dont think she bought anything

I think DeBartolo wanted to keep it, but with the NFL breathing down his neck over the gambling boats fiasco, and his sister making a grab of the team, he had little choice but handing over.

the only thing I disagree with him on is that this team is not devoid of talent. We are devoid of any competent enough to manage it though. The one coach that has let me down the most this year is Manusky. I thought he was something special. And Nolan, a guy who is a very good Dcoordinator, thought so too.
Good read!
Damn, its sad because every word of that article/rant was true, I for one thought we had hope untli yesterday, the first game i turned off early all season.
Here's what i don't get. Just what exactly has to happen before BM(bigmike) is shid canned? I mean, how much more awful does he have to be? This is not bottom ,this is below that, way deep stuck in the mud. Why isn't jed firing BM tonite.? Really, Why? Because he is gutless? Because he is a c.s.? Somebody tell me why. 33 yrs a fan, and i , we deserve to know why el bobo is still HC. BM is just a horrible joke. iF jed is too c.s. to fire him , call me and i'd do it in a heartbeat, in the middle of BMs dinner. Watching 49ers has just gotten too painful. someone please email when BM is fired, and i hope soon, so i can go back and watch my team. But now, with dum-dum at helm, no thanks.
Ratto actually made me laugh reading the article...Its spot on without being too sharp

I never thought I'd feel this way but I loathe seeing Sings face...Hearing his broken postgame rhetoric over and over again just reaffirms my hate for the man.

Big Mike will get canned at after the last game of the season. We have no replacement for him, so firing him now makes no sense.

I am just hoping Jed, aka Lucky Sperm, will wise up and seek out a football knowledgeable GM first, who will then seek and hire a new coaching staff.
I hate that Ratto is right.
I hate Ratto and Sing. Ratto is a fat ass who always hates. He writes about negatives all the time. Even when something good happens. This goes back way, not in the recent 9ers suckiness. I have always hated this fat ass worthless punk.
That is one depressing article. What a waste of a decade.

But what does Sing bring to the table now that it seems the players are not playing for him rather themselves at best. I dont see what were losing by dumping Sing and promoting either Solari or another assistant coach. If nothing else it serves as a reminder that EVERYONE is being evaluated including players.

Jed York needs to step infront of a mirror to see directly who's responsible for putting Sing in this position...

It is not "devoid" of talent but it does not have as much talent as some believe. Some think all it needs is a QB. I wish that were true. The reality is this team is lacking solid NFL players at NT, pass rush/OLB (not Haralson), CB, safety #1 WR, in addition something better at RG.

This team is full of journeyman players with the exception of Willis, Gore and Justin Smith. There is some undeveloped talent in young players like Crabtree, Iupati and Anthony Davis but I don't see the core of this team as being playoff grade by any stretch of the imagination.
