dude i know you're referring to that 3-3-5 which is exactly why you haven't gotten much in terms of passrush or run d lately. our lack of a truly capable qb and cluster f*ck oline is obviously leading YOU into a psychological trap. your youth is energetic. your schemes are interesting. but at the end of the day true defenses WILL expose you. bet on it.

I didn't think we'd win this game. I said so in the pre-game thread.

I did tell you we'd stuff Blount and that you should expect Cadillac to have more yards. I'll eat crow on the second part... only because they split the carries differently than I thought they would... thought Caddy would get a bigger share.

We did stuff Blount, though. 3.2 yards a carry = stuffed. Caddy had 7.3 ypc and the TD. That was my point... 49ers defense stops the big guy, but gets gashed by the smaller quicker backs.

Don't pat yourself on the back too much. Our o-line is awful and our play calling was predictable. Still, stuffing Gore that bad is impressive. He's run better against better defenses with the same predictable play calling. This was his worst performance in the last 24 games rushing the ball.

Other than that, you guys weren't exactly impressive... we just have s**t coaching and s**t o-line. Oh, and a soft coverage scheme filled with defensive backs who have no ball awareness.

I would like to serve you some crow, though.

Patrick Willis > LeGarrette Blount

13 tackles and 2 sacks. Blount got stuffed. I'd say Willis was ready.

I'll share my crow with you... I get the bigger piece though.

Today I didn't get angry at the 49ers ineptitude. I wasn't annoyed by the playcalling so conservative even Rush Limbaugh would have yelled, "AIR IT OUT!!!" I didn't scream curses or raise hell.

I just don't care anymore. The 2010 edition of the San Francisco 49ers is both bad and boring---a lethal combination.

If Little Jed does decide to whack Singletary and tab Greg Manusky as the fill-in, so what? The way things are going Jed would just promote Manusky to head coach and save the money it would take to bring in a Gruden or a Parcells to take over running the team.

Bad ownership. Inept, drunken general managers. Clueless coordinators. Head coaches with no experience but boy can he give a great motivational speech.

Why should anybody be surprised when the quarterbacks blow, the offensive line can't run or pass block, there's still no stud pass rusher and the free agents and rookies don't pan out?

I'm like Phil Collins: I don't care anymore. It's a crap team run by crap owners, a crap front office and crap coaches. Firing Singletary and blowing up the roster isn't going to change the loser's mentality of the San Francisco 49ers.

And there ain't no Bill Walsh to walk in and clean up this mess.

I'm kind of happy now that having to go watch West Side Story with my family happened to coincide with this game, because it seems like we stunk it up pretty bad. Anyone mind telling me what the hell happened today? And does Troy Smith now actually suck and is not who we thought he was aka Jeff Garcia 2.0?

This loss was the worst if ever watched as a 49er fan.

It always starts with the coaching. Sing is and has been a horrible X & O's coach. We all can see that we get out coached every single week and its too much for our players to overcome.

Todays game plan of smash mouth running didn't work and it hasn't all season.

The Oline play has not progressed as I had hoped. I knew when we started the season that it was going to take 6 or 7 games for the line to gel but for whatever reason they just are not getting it done.

Qb play today was really bad. Held onto the ball way too long, stared down wr's, was not accurate. I don't blame it all on Troy just as I didn't on Alex cause they are both a product of the players and coachs that surround them.

D was okay again today but its not a dominating type of D and with our offensive mindset it needs to be.

I'm afraid this is likely to the result until we get a new coaching staff.

Looked as though "somebody" told Smith to stay in the pocket and hold onto the ball and not run all over the place.

Looked as though Singlecell thought this game was his chance to prove that his offensive theories are correct and everything was based on that.

Only Singletary doesn't believe in the "if it aint broke don't fix it" mentality. Troy Smith and the offense were clicking the past two games. So what does Singletary do? he changes s**t up and runs with a conservative play calling again. That fool just can't get passed trying to force his hand in the offense. Troy Smith and the offense were clearly affected by the playcalling as Troy threw down field maybe a handful of times tops. The rest of the time he dumped it off or just ran the ball. Singletary can not go fast enough. I'm to the point that I refuse to watch another game this season. Thank you Singletary for taking away one of the few joys I have in my life. I f**kING HATE YOU!!!!

I don't know even if I can blame Troy Smith for the loss. That o-line completely so overwhelmingly bad that I just don't know what to say. They gave up 6 sacks and if it wasn't for Troy Smith running around, it likely would have been more. The line also couldn't run block worth a damn. Don't know what exactly they're good. All this hoopla about us hiring Solari was for bulls**t.

With regards to the offensive playcalling, I thought it was heavily affected by the pressure that the Bucs were generating. It's not as if a whole bunch of 7 step drops can be called when T. Smith is running for his life even on every pass attempt.

The defense is still awful. While they didn't give up any big plays, they just couldn't get themselves off the field. The Bucs just dink and dunkned and advanced the ball on will.
