I think it would be a healthy move for the 49ers to go to LA.

I'm a fan of the San Francisco 49ers through thick and thin. LA can get their own f**king team.

so my question is, would you rather the niners stay in SF and horrible or move to LA and build another dynasty?
We're a competent coaching staff and a QB away from being a playoff team. That can be fixed in one off-season.
And you really think that Magic Johnson is going to run an elite football team? He could be just as bad or worse than the Yorks.
I'd rather have the Yorks start to lose money and decide to dump the team back off to Eddie DeBartolo. That has just as much of a chance of happening as Magic Johnson buying the team and moving it to LA.

This talk of moving the team south, by NorCal fans, no less, is dumbfounding. Has the Bay Area become so flaccid and wishy-washy that it can't agree to hate LA? Even just a little bit?
F*CK LA

Im in southern cali and fox shows the cowboys or the eagles every week, wtf. id like to watch a 49er game that i dont have to stream off the freakin internet.
Maybe you should have chosen a more local team, like the Chargers.
It's not our fault you chose a team from Northern California, probably due to their championships.

Seconded.
Anyone who would be willing to see them move to LA is not from the Bay Area. To suggest this tells me that you don't at all understand the emotional baggage this concept carries.
If the 49ers moved to LA, I would cease to be a 49ers fan and would mourn the loss of my team.

I don't care that much where they are. But they will NEVER win with the Yorks. I can tell you that much.

Hate LA, uhh newsflash the sacremento kings were buried almost a decade ago by the lakers, we dont even consider it a rilvary anymore, no one hates the golden state warriors because theyre from nor cal, thats stupid. Excuse me if I dont wanna run up to sf so i can shell out $1800 a month for a 500 sq foot apartment on a 45degree angle hill (no offense to sf, its a very nice place, one of my favorite places. and if i could afford to live comortably there i probably would. But LA hate for no reason is uneccessary, ok if your a giants fan and u hate the dodgers, fine, but all I know is I hear california support coming from dodgers fans who would rather see the cali team bring it home)
REAL Norcal fans HATE L.A. teams, period! I don't care who the Dodgers are playing, I root for the other team. If the 9ers moved to L.A. they would be dead in my book. A sad day for sure, but gone forever. I hate the Lakers, no matter what kind of ball they're playing. I always want them to lose too. A friend of mine in SD was lamenting the Pad's loss to the Giants and I told 'dude, look dow
n at your feet. Don't be sad cause your standing on the Dodgers neck all the way to next season"!

Well said. The NorCal insecurity and are their imagined "rivalries with SoCal are tiresome to hear about.
When I'm in LA, for instance, I never hear anyone there hating on NorCal or SF. They make vacation plans to go there and rave about how much they love it.
Plenty of LA fans root for NFL teams in the North (Raiders and the Niners), and no one hates the freakin' Warriors. They only smirk at the Kings.
I'm 5th generation bay area and I went to college in LA. I know and like both areas a lot.
But I hate the hell out of all LA sports teams because the NorCal, SoCal rivalry is as good as any regional rivalry in sports. And yeah, even though I'm a warriors fan, I rooted like hell for the kings over the lakers. That was when I was living in LA and everyone with their damn laker flags on their escalades drove me nuts!
I hope the Rams move back to LA so I can hate them as much as I used to.
And I hope all the Dodgers fans are hating watching the Giants in the world series as much as I hated watching the Dodgers when they were there.
You don't have to hate LA to hate their sports teams. And you don't have think that because people up here hate the teams down there we all hate LA in general.

Yup. There's nothing better than having the Warriors, Lakers, Niners, Rams, Giants, and Dodgers in contention.
It used to be so much fun to go to work in California, back when "hate" was earned, not something that was casually tossed around.

the only LA people i know that hate the bay area are the ones that lived there for a while and had to deal with the trash talk.

If the 49ers move I would no longer follow them. The Yorks can't break ground on a stadium. Sure they passed a referendum and they have plans but didn't they get the vote in SF ten years ago, and what became of that? If LA gives them a stadium and Dr. York can save half a billion dollars, what do you think he would do?
