Wow! I think this is the biggest statement of all:

"No. As a matter of fact, Jed and I did not talk about it at all," Singletary said. "... Nothing came up with Jed or anyone else, and I appreciate that."

How in the eff does a coach make a CRITICAL decision like this w/o talking to ownership...who pays his bills. Someone is lying here big time! Not to mention, Mike Johnson now has a promotion and those details need to be discussed as well. I don't buy this at all.

Either Sing is lying or we really DO have a totally inept front office. What owner/GM in their right mind wouldn't be in the locker room IMMEDIATELY after the game to discuss what needs to be done?

Well Sing, it looks like your boy is selling you out but I can't blame him after your quote of him being your OC for the remainder of the year. It was the right move (hopefully not too little, too late) b/c Raye blew chunks. You want winners Mike, hopefully Mr. Johnson also has some big balls so stay out of the game planning and let this team flourish or fail on its own and go over to Manusky and light a fire under his arse as well as our pussified defense!
Singletary needs to keep his nose out of the OC's business. If anything, he should be involved with the DC, but that's it. That being said, I still don't think Raye knew what the f**k he was doing up there. Wouldn't be surprised if he just copied Madden playbooks.

Today is brighter than yesterday! No Jimmy Raye keeps the despair at bay! I'm actually excited for our offense on Sunday because MJ is selling out, risking everything. He will be the polar opposite of smashmouth f**king dive up the middle every run play philosophy. I expect spread, hurry up, and a lot of vertical passing. If we protect Smith we could finally see us break 10 by half!

To me, whether Sing says ownership wasn't involved or not, if Raye was doing what Sing wanted him to do then it looks like it was an ownership decision.

Again, Singletary can deny it, but the evidence is there that this was a decision from the top.

Yup. And Jed York said "This was YOUR hire, so YOU be the @ss clown and tell the football world what a screwy decision you made!"

...right Jed!?
