But NT is terrible.

I admit i went overboard with the future looks, but now i sit back and say this is not the end of the world.

And that we are not gonna fire sing nor should we after 1 damn game.

So people chill the f*ck out, and just support the team and support the dame staff, Im sick of seeing these, Sing sucks, or Sing needs to go threads.

Or bring in Harbaugh. Who says he will be any better than Singletary. Apparently the players like Sing, why else would Vernon and Willis sign extensions.

So people shut up, s**t down, have a cold one, and if by week 6-8 we are in this situation still then I say question, but for people who were all over Sing and Alex's nutz, including me, need to calm down, cause we are far from the worst team in the league like NT portrays it to be.

end rant. lol

I agree that it is way too early for let's fire Singletary ...... but repeated mistakes , and poor decisions are open for critizism in my mind.

The coaching mistakes are embarrassing and if I were playing for a coach who made silly mistakes I would question him. However Sing has earned more respect than most coaches because of his playing carreer and the boost he has provided in making the niners relevant again in the league. I can remember a time when the niners were never talked about outside of the local media because the team was so lame. This team has leadership and talent. I also remember a time when the Saints were in the NFC West and they were the niners doormat. Here's to history repeating itself. (Drinks Beer)

I think blame goes on both the coaches and players, uiltimately yes the coaches are calling the plays but the players need to hold up there end.

Agreed...Alex, Gore, Crabs need to match Willis, Smith, Clements big play for big play. The coaches have taken a beating in the national media this week, but the issues seem easy enough to solve.

I knew there was a reason you are one of my WZ favorites!

That means a lot Memphis. I can remember when I joined the zone, and revealed my numbers, cap wise, and people called me out, boy how far I have come, i feel honored that there are a following who like to see the cap figure posts, and anything I have to say.

I would like to think im respected and a knowledgeable poster.

I would say you are.

Agree. I snapped out of my funk Wednesday.

I came to the realization that the worst case scenario is that this team is about as good as it was last year with more seasoned players.

We could have won 2-3 more games last year. So 9-10 wins is still quite doable if they iron out the issues with the offensive play calling. Most importantly, last year's team could get on a roll and compete with anybody, including the Saints.

I'm ready for Monday.

I usually snap out of it on Fridays but there's an extra day before the game so I won't do a homer we can do it mentality until tomorrow.
Do you honestly think Singletary, Raye, and Alex Smith will ever bring home a Super Bowl trophy, or, hell, are even competent enough to lead this team to a winning season? Ask yourself that, and look at the team's record over the last 5 years along with last week's blowout, and maybe you will see why us debbie downers are working overtime this week. I'm sick of losing and hearing flowery speeches. Get it done, or GTFO. It's been 7 years and counting of us having nothing better to do than call each other's fanhood out.
Maybe the mods should create a new forum for Haters. Call it Hater Talk. This way all the haters can stick together with their hater rants and leave Niner Talk for fans, where objective, critical feedback is always welcome but no hater rants.

exactly, or they arent old enough to remember the winning yrs, Luckly for me, I saw the 94 SB victory for us, and have since been a Niners fan.

I love my team, I will never stop the love, and will always support them and the staff whether there the best or worst. We need to stay possitive and come out on sundays at the stick, unfortunately im stuck in DAMN New York. But one day I swear I will make a game. I WILL DAMNIT I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

speaking of which, weren't we blown out in the first game of the season that year?
Sorry, but when you don't meet expectations, and deliver on promises that you make yourself, there is an end of the line. Of course there are players on the team who like him and who he has been a positive influence for, but they're paid professionals as well and they're going to need to toe the line for the next guy if they want to retain their job. At this point, it is time to do what is in the best interest of the 49ers. If Singletary doesn't have the intelligence to command the team, he needs to be replaced.

With regards to Jimmy Raye, I'm sick and tired of him telling me that he doesn't know much about players on our own football team. How doesn't Jimmy Raye know much about Brian Westbrook? This guy has been one of the best players in the league for the past decade.

Please, bring in some football people to lead this football team. Bill Bellichick is an encyclopedia of NFL knowledge. When I hear him talk about opposing teams, it sounds as if he is the head coach of those teams. Meanwhile, Jimmy keeps telling us he doesn't know much about players, even players that have been on the team. It is ridiculous.
I am going to try to use logic here - detached, cold, objective analysis. This is something that should appeal to Shaj.

Looking at the last seven games that Alex played in last year, his top five QB ratings were 97.6, 97.5, 96.8, 95.6 and 88.8. Not too shabby. Four of these games were away and three were at home. He played poorly against Phil (42.3), but McNabb's rating in the same game was 72.2. Alex had a 59.7 rating against Ariz, but the great Warner's rating in the same game was 44.9. My logical conclusion is that Alex has the ability to play well; indeed, quite well at times.

Logic suggested that Alex should improve this year over last because of continuity, because of greater experience with our newest receivers, and because of an improved OL. But let's be honest - this first game against Seattle, revealed that the OL is green as grass and is playing as such. Morgan's recent intrview said they wanted to throw deep more often, but the line would not give Alex the time to let these plays develop. Seattle was smart enough to defend the middle to take away our inclination to run Frank up the middle and to throw to Vernon up the middle. That was intended to force us to deal throw outside to our WRs. They suspected that Crabs would not be ready and they were right. Add to all that the predictable and slow play-calling and you have a recipe for disaster. Ask Kurt Warner why he was only able to get a QB rating of 44.9 against us last year. Sometimes the great ones can be defensed against well.

Based on looking backwards, logic tells me that Alex can still do well for us this year, provided the coaching staff and the rest of the offense does their part too.

The Eagles put a 44-8 whoopin on us that year, Young got benched and blew up on Seifert, but it helped the team in the end.
