Steve young is a far better player than Elway was. Young could have won 1 or 2 more rings if he didn't get hurt. Elway only won his rings because of his RB just like Brady only has rings cause of the tuck rule and Vintaries Leg. Not to mention Elway got smashed in in other super bowls where Young broke records at his Big dance and is the greatest QB performance ever at a Superbowl.
What a joke.
He definitely should be in the top 50 when u consider all his passing titles,2 MVP's and game breaking running ability..

My Top 5

RICE
MONTANA
BROWN
W.PAYTON
UNITAS

NEXT 5

SAYERS
BUTKUS
B. SANDERS
DEACON JONES
REGGIE WHITE

What a travesty.

So NFLN expects me to believe that there are/were 80 players better than Steve Young???

These kinds of list are always crap. Always biased toward the more recent players because those are the ones people know and have seen.

The NFL started in 1920, so there must be 10's of thousands of guys who have played in the league. To be considered one of the top 100 out of at least 20-30,000 players is pretty amazing.

I'm happy he made the list.

Michael Irvin is NOT better than Young neither is Elway or Marino which im sure will be on here. We are just saying give the man the respect he deserves 81 is way too low and there are lots of old school players on the list as of right now.

elway>young

take...that...BACK

I say we smack him. Get him back to his senses....

I'm trying to be objective here, but out of every individual football player to ever play the game #81 is really pretty good.

Now that being said. These lists are bogus. You cannot really compare players from even 20 years ago to modern players. Everyone has their own perspective and that in itself makes the list an opinion. An opinion written down to get people to talk about it.

Personally, Young is my all time favorite QB.
I'm fine with the spot given how many people played the game but to put players like Aikman and Bradshaw ahead is just mind boggling.

Heck Young paved the way for players like Michael Vick, Vince Young etc. QBs who you have to account for their legs as well as the arm.
Just to be in the top 100 is really something and we all know he should be in that list without question. 81 does seem a little low but im a niners fan. Its tough to come up with a list like that. Just think of the talent that isnt even going to be on the list.

We all love Young but come on, before Young there was Staubach and Tarkenton. Also, don't forget about Cunningham (not saying he's better than Young).
this was the biggest bulls**t ever steve young is top 25

Looks like they are giving the nod to QB's with more super bowl rings and wins kinda dumb for this type of list when those are team stats

just looking at Bradshaw yeah he won 4 super bowls in 6 years has a career w/l record of 107/51 to Young's 94/49 but that doesn't make him personally better than Young

Bradshaw
career
51.9% 212 td 210 int passer rating 105

Young
career
64.3% 232 td 107 int passer rating 126

not even close

Aikman
career
61.5% 165 td 141 int passer rating 106

pfft

booo this list booo it
