9-13 for 88 yards. I think he had good pocket presence, and deliver the ball well to his receivers. A big improvent over the previous week @ Indy. Overall, I'll give him a B.

I would give a B/B+
He looked great on the first drive, and then the play-calling by our OC was rather dull - which I'm not worried about. We don't need to give up too much in Pre-season. We saw what Alex can do on the first drive against a top D while missing his top 3 weapons.

same here....only because of how important it is for us to score on our first drive.... Alex did a GREAT job of moving the chains....then on top of that there were 3rd down situations on that drive....he looked real good.
I don't blame him at all for the 2nd series, I believe we ran the ball 3 straight times, because of Anthony Davis penalty....
the rest was inconsistent, need to watch these again...

A+ compared to what I expected from him.
I'll wait until I see the play calling and how the O-Line holds up in the first regular season games until I can make an opinion.

This is the BEST I've seen Alex Smith play. He actually OUTPLAYED Nate Davis.
His pocket presence was excellent, passes were crisp and on target and didn't look like a one legged Duck trying to avoid pass rushers.
So I'm giving credit where credit is due, but one game doesn't make a QB. The question now is: Can he be consistent?
Congrats to Alex Smith and his die hard supporters ... today was your day!
