Gavintech...Worth is a relative term.
Zeigler has shown "worth" because he has shown the ability to return punts.
You can stop right there. HE HAS NOT. He's shown that he's no better than anyone would be. He's shown absolutely nothing to prove any worth what-so-ever. He's proved that he can't judge the ball and muffs them when they come down for two preseasons. Just because they want him to good at it, doesn't mean he's shown anything to give the idea he will be.
Ziggy is making plays everyday and so has reggie smith...i say lets see what ziggy can do in a game
We have. I don't see how he's magically going to be able to return punts/kicks when he was never able to do it in the past, in college and the pros, and has failed when given the chance in 2008 and 2009, in college and the pros.
Like I've been saying:

On whether he would consider Zeigler as a punt returner:
“You know, he’s more of an emergency guy for us, but I know there are a couple of things about Zeigler. He is a very dependable guy; he has been up to this point. So its certainty a situation which if we had to we would.”
On Zeigler’s willingness to go across the middle and make a catch:
“He is a unique guy. He is very unselfish and he doesn’t mind going across the middle, going underneath, doing some of the dirty work. He is a guy that does everything for us. He wears a lot of different hats. He can play any of the receiver positions, gives us some flexibility and he’s really good on special teams as well. So he gives us flexibility at that position.”
Just admit you were wrong, and that your opinion has nothing to do with how the coaching staff sees Zeigler...then we can get on to other things.
OMG a coach talked positively about one of his players! Cause' that never happens. What never happens is the opposite. All the ever do is speak highly of everyone on the roster. They don't even change that tune after they cut/trade a guy.
So even though the head coach says very directly and clearly that Zeigler will be used as a punt returner if needed, that he's dependable in that role and that "he’s really good on special teams as well," you still believe that Zeigler has shown "NO WORTH" as a punt returner....that Singletary is just saying "positive things," but doesn't really mean it.
Is that correct?
