here are some of the things i liked this week

LIKED:
starting D - shut out the colts O after the MROB fumble (only in for 1 possesion

kyle williams- is really quick gonna be a great return specialist for us

anthony dixon - solid runner if he gets in shape a it more he can be a solid #2 RB and maybe become a #1 back later in his career (granted its 1 preseason game lol)

mike iupati- he did great against the run and the pass

david Baas- he couldve definitally did worse (was expecting him too)

anthiny davis run blocking- he ws a solid run blocker

Dislikes-
chilo rachal and anthony davis pass blocking- too much pressure and mis blocks definitively need to work on that before the season starts

all WR and TE- too many dropped passes this needs to be worked on ASAP

playcalling : 3rd and long screen really?

on the fence:

alex smith: i really didnt expect the offense to work today because of the 3 new o line men and especially without gore and crabtree alex made solid throws except for 2 IMO on the rollout he couldve thrown the ball a bit better and the throw that was completely behind davis however i am not too worried about that because they have been hitting that all season last year and all of practice
Dislike: CBS Broadcast. Although it did provide some timely humor.

the wrs are look likes a cowards!! i dislike it!!
Didnt like:
-Poor poor pass protection from A. Davis. Are we sure he'll be ready against 1st round defenses in Sept.
-Waiting to be down 10 points to go to the spread
-Our Defense scored before the offense
-Alex didn't get sacked, but looked inaccurate under pressure and on the move.
-2 yard pass on 3rd and long.

Liked:
-Anthony Dixon
-Nate Davis
-Interceptions
-Carr's decision making.

YOU
Dixon is awesome, I like his personality in the interview!
I thought RJF looked pretty good.

1. Anthony Dixon: The obvious, this guy can run. I wasn't impressed by his speed to the hole (ie Garrison Hearst, fastest man to the hole) but he was very difficult to tackle. He is a big upgrade over Coffee as the backup. His stiff arm is pre-season legendary.

2. Briggs: I didn't like this guy prior to this game. He's put on some weight, and is still very quick. He gets to the QB, hustles on every play and despite the fumble his pick was impressive. He won't see the practice squad this year or he'll be gone.

3. Anthony Davis: This guy struggled today. His pass protection was shaky at best and he looked lost at times. He's young, but need work

4. David Baas: Snapped the ball well today. Push at the center of the line for the first time in a while. The goal line push was excellent. I really like him at center next to the two young guards

5. Byham: I wasn't big on drafting him, but he reminds me of an Eric Johnson that can block. He has soft hands, runs well and can block. He made some mistakes, but I like this TE.

special mention: Nate Davis looks like a great developmental player. I hope he sticks around another few years.

Like: Dixon, Carr

Dislike: Smith, Smith, and more Smith. Still cant get it done. Looks scared under pressure. Off target on majority of his passes.........3/9 for 37 yards YIKES !

If Smith remains starter for the rest of the year, we're in big trouble........

Liked
Dixon (it's one game) but he looks like he has way better vision that coffee had.
Carr- Didn't really hesitate to run if there was an opening.
Nate davis- Nate's gonna nate.
Offensive line- I liked that even the starters were able to open up running HOLES. I don't think we saw holes that big all of last season.
RJF- Looks like we might have something.

Disliked
The offensive play calls for the starters.
The defense not wrapping up on tackles (esp the screens)
A. Davis's pass blocking.

I'll instantly be on the Carr bandwagon the moment he changes his helmet!
Carr managed the game better than I expected.
