I would like to see Nate Davis start just see how he would play.

Even the refs want Nate to keep playing with that bad call

Davis just has that natural feel for the game. He knows which way to scramble when theres pressure, which way to side step. Looks really good. I'm still hesitant to want him as starter for the sake of continuity, but seriously, if Smith does't step his s**t up, Davis just might be good enough at this point in time.

How so? I don't see them doing any kind of criticism of Davis. Just that he's not ready.
I would like for the coaches to put him in against a 2nd defense to see how he does.
no, just speaking out of my arse on this one.

hats off to S. Spencer for opening a Boys and Girls club in Pitt. to give back to the kids. "no kids are bad kids" they just end up getting inot bad things when they have no place to go.

This is a very simple question with a very simple answer.
Did Peyton Manning look sharp ? YES
Did Aaron Rodgers look sharp ? YES
Did Drew Brees look sharp ? YES
Did Alex Smith look sharp ? NO
What differentiates a contender from a pretender ? There's your answer right above. Can anyone please explain, besides blaming DWalker on the tipped INT, why ALex Smith did not look sharp as a six year veteran hoping to take this team to the playoffs ? And if you're going to use the "its only preseason" excuse, then please explain why all of the above said QBs didnt look so rusty......
Smith looked fine. Not great. Just fine. I'm ok with that considering his Number 1 WR is out and the best offensive player on the team in Gore. Plus we lost our backup RB late in the week. The offense looked fine to me. Once the timing with VD is back (and it should be just based on last year) and if we don't have those tough break INTs thru Walker's hands we'll be fine.
3/9 37 yards is fine ? Wow, you're hopeless.........
No, my friend, your posts are the very definition of hopeless.
Not that it will make a difference with some, but did Brees, Rodgers and Manning play behind two rookie o-linemen seeing their first action and without their #1 RB and WR?
Just curious.
No. Plus we have a new center. Taking everything into consideration I like what our offense has done.
I don't. I didn't see any positives from the starting O. The reason's for that are valid though. It's just that I think we'll have to wait until the 3rd preseason game to get any decent insight as to what they can do.
I was talking about everything. Starters and backups.
Oh than I agree.
I do agree with your point about not having any positives with the starting offense. However, there isn't much to complain about right now. I wish we didn't fumble to start the game and I hoped for better passes (the VD throw) but without Gore and Crabs its hard to tell. Plus the offense was out there what 2 series (3 if you count the fumble one), right?

exactly, so doesn't that mean he has gained the shot at playing against 1-2nd stringers?

Is Mrob a member of this team going forward or do we start pushing hard for Westbrook to complement Gore and Dixon?
