KOLB V.S. SMITH: THE BATTLE OF CHECKDOWN MASTER 2010!

Seriously, I see the score somewhere where last night's game was going into halftime (0-3) with Smith getting benched for throwing 2 interceptions, and Troy Smith coming in and ending the second half 14-6 49ers.

It'll be one of the s**ttiest games SNF will ever see this year, but it'll be the rise of Troy Smith.

how is Troy Smith gonna suddenly pass Carr on the depth chart? If Alex get's benched, Carr will come in.

Carr will come in, throws an INT while getting sacked, enter Troy Smith next drive?!

That plan is too logical for smartmike to follow.

Jk its sadly to complex for his head to follow
Wow Philly has a lot of injuries going onto this week. They are in a prime position to be taken advantage of.
Our D will play balls out again. It's up to the offense to give the reach around.

how about ryan mallet if he goes in the draft. i see alot of talent out of this kid from arkansas and he throws lasers and is known for his throwing strength and accuracy. I do not see Jake locker as a franchise QB. He seems like a worse Tim Tebow because he always uses his feet when he doesnt find his primary reciever. Mallet for first Round Pick!!!!!!!!! GO NINERS!. But the eagles without vick arent as great as u think. yeah we got pretty beat up last time but they had mcnabb and a bunch of other players that they dont have this year. Niners win 24 to 14.

makes too much sense to put in a backup QB. For some reason Singletary is "backing up" Alex Smith. I really wanna see some Troy Smith. He hasnt gotten a chance to prove himself in the NFL yet. Lets throw Troy Smith in there after Alex throws another 2 picks.

We're of course talking about Sing and the niners here... but Troy would be the FAR (better) logical choice since he has a bigger history with Mike Johnson/Mike's spread-option philosophy (MJ was his QB coach @ Baltimore from 2007-2008), and the familiarity 'factor' is very important in moving a new QB into the offense.

But again... that would be a logical choice since David Carr is an even bigger piece of trash than Alex Smith (who was also the 'final' b*****d-child signing of Scot McCloughan).

But it'll never happen... Singletary is all over Smith's balls, and wanted Alex's self-esteem to be so high that he sabotaged Nate Davis to the practice squad in the process so Alex didn't have to feel 'challenged'.

I believe Nate Davis did that all on his own with his play.

I'd like to get this quote in full before I make judgment.

But Nate cleared waivers and then we brought T. Smith over him, that should be all you need to know.

But in all seriousness though lol (set aside everything else), our situation is literally a 2007 repeat waiting to happen. Alex Smith goes (this time to the bench and not on IR), Trent Dilfer (Carr) goes in (stinks things up but never gets benched), and we don't get to see Shaun Hill (Troy Smith) until Trent Dilfer (Carr) gets 'injured' towards week 15.

Troy Smith = Shaun Hill 2010 (with a bigger arm).

Hahahhaa we suck!

That is very possible. I think Smith will play good enough in the next few games to keep his job, all while the fans patiently wait for him to be pulled. I know Carr did not look great, but his career stats are still better than Smith's...

This is my point exactly. If Nate Davis was as great as some posters believe he is, then why did he clear waivers? Why is he actually on our practice squad instead of on one of the 31 other teams active rosters? The answer is because he isn't as great as some make him out to be. He just has a big arm(60 yard pass that was not accurately thrown).
WE LOST, oh well
