Mississippi's State all time leading rusher not bad
GOOD NOW WE CAN GET RID OF Michael Robinson so we can give Dixon #24
im still wondering why the niners didnt address the Cornerback position in the draft
i hope we dont have the problem this year how we had with not drafting a O linemen last year in the draft
Please tell me you're joking.

Is anyone else a little skeptical you can actually change a runners running style? I keep hearing that the Niners like Dixon because he's a big back, but he doesn't run big enough. So Sing and Jimmy have it in their head that they can teach him to run big. Too me that doesn't make sense. I can understand teaching patience and how to hit the whole, but running big seems more like a mentality. Some players (Like Coffee) want to punish you, they love the contact. I tend to think you either have it or you don't. I think Dixon will do well, but he will struggle trying to be what Jimmy and Sing wants him to be.

No, not at all.
The reason is you can teach a different running style. Think about what is happening to Mays and his ascension up the depth chart. Similarily, Dixon is being taught technique and that's basically the "style" of running. Dixon will do what is natural for him while practicing the technique that will make him successful in this offense. I can see it happening as long as he has discipline and believes what the coaches are telling him. From what I gather, he certainly is doing it.
IMO just on the little vid out their of him, he also has vision. He can become a monster for us when he hones in on the "One cut and go" technique. With those nimble feet of his coupled with his massive frame, he's perfect for Jimmy's RBs especially in the open field.
I find it very funny now. We do have our change of pace back. The only thing is rather than being smaller, faster, quicker, we get 240 pounds of mass. He will learn. He will contribute. He will surprise.
