How do you think Alex Smith did today?

I think Smith played good. There were a few bad throws and drop passes, but that happeneds. Payton had worse throws than Alex did. We need to pass more on 1st and 2nd down. 3rd and 10 or more is not what you want. We need to go out and win the game' and not sit on it. Gore would have only have 27 yard rushing if he didn't have the long TD. I think Smith will be find but really don't fit Singletary's offense.

I think Alex did a very good job today. If we would stay in the formation we were having success moving the ball this offense could be very good. I think Alex is for real & if given a chance to play in the shotgun can make us a good team.

The OL has been playing much better too. I say we throw the fist pick at Berry if he's there, the second at an OL and the third on a return man!

No, he barely had time to drop back on that play. Mathis gave a quick spin move and had a free path the Smith. Snyder gets the blame for that one.

Smith played better than expected, but since Bruce won´t be here next year we should get Jason Hill into the mix but the Run Run Pass won´t work cos its to predictable. And since we gave that contract to Brandon Jones we should play him. Crabtree, Morgan, Jones and Hill should be active.

I give Alex a B. I thought he did really well considering he hadn't started a game in a long time, played in a tough stadium against an udefeated team and has Ray Charles calling plays for him.

Missed a few throws, but only less then a handful; for him is a huge improvement from the last time he started. Peyton had more overthrows then Alex, which is something I would have never guessed to say.
Anyways, there were some pretty bad drops, but mostly Alex looks like a different QB out there then he has before. He seems a lot more composed, but our playcalling is killing our offense. Spread it out, even the f**king announcers were saying that s**t all game long.
I counted 4 BAD throws and 3 really bad drops - 2 by Bruce. I think a very good day for Alex - The real question is why when the 49ers were having success in the spread shotgun offense didn't they stay in that formation? Singletary has GOT to get over this Nolan like obsession/idea that 14 points should win a football game in today's game. To beat the Colts you need to put up 24 points and press the ball at all times - You can NEVER have to many points against Peyton Manning.
You are absolutely WRONG and show that you have NO CLUE about football. The niners strategy was good. You want to keep the ball OUT ....let me repeat....OUT of Peyton Manning's hand.
How do you keep the ball out of Peyton hands if you have no running game. With out the long run Gore had 27 yards. You shouldn't tell anyone you have no clue about football unless you can back it up!

On one sack, if he had stepped up in the pocket, he could have avoided. He did also seem a little too quick to start running for his life.
He had one brutal miss to Bruce that would have gone for a good 15 yards. It just sailed on him, i think we all know that he wishes that he could have taken that one back.
With all that being said, he was playing the #1 ranked pass defense and he lost his starting LT on the first play, he still played ok.

I think he did good or at least good enough for us to win that game. And when you are playing Freeney and Mathis you will always be quick to run for your life.

Yeah, WTF?
Vick could not have got away on that play.

He played better than what he has in the past despite WRs dropping passes and not getting much help from the line. He had some overthrows, but I think he played pretty well considering the competition, OL, and dropped passes.
