Doesn't surprise me. I think we did when we had Hostler as the OC as well. And we all know who he learned from

actually Hill has done pretty well on 3rd downs....its just that either we run the ball on third down....or we put ourselfs pretty far back...
and this is not even counting the 3rd down passes Coffee and our Receivers have dropped that could have been 1st downs.
so even with the drops, Hill through 5 games on 3rd downs, has a
91.8 QB rating and is 32 for 47.
some of those can be check downs...but usually that has to do with the play call...or else Raye would be yelling at Shaun, if he felt it was his fault.
im sorry i have zero confidence in hill on 3rd down, he may have went 32 for 47, but how many were for first downs. I dont know what is the answer but it isnt hill

Not to mention he did a pretty crappy job against the Falcons. So he is decent on 3rd down conversions when we play crappy teams

Shaun Hill is the quarterback. Jimmy Raye is calling the plays. A bunch of scrubs play on the offensive line. I would have been surprised if we didn't lead the league in 3 and outs. It's good to see this offense has come so far after that fiasco in '07.

Well that could be the play selection from good ol Raye. Even if he hits a WR the damn receivers are always in front of the 1rst down marker. HELLO stupid!!! you need a first down get beyond the damn sticks

it doesn't help that we have only had 3 WR's on the field a handful of times this season. It also doesn't help that Raye's offense is more predictable than your alarm clock going off in the morning. It also doesn't help that we are a power running team that can't run the ball.

I don't even expect 5 yards anymore, and get kinda happy when we break off a big 5 yarder.
