91.8 rating on 3rd down, but no 1st downs. The numbers don't lie, Hill sucks.

that actually proves that its the playcalling more than hill

not really

MadDog post from another thread:

" Running some numbers on Hill. Take it for what it is worth:
1) 179.6 Passing Yards per game- 27th in NFL
2) 80.7 Passer Rating- 23rd in NFL
3) 5 TD Passes- Tied for 20th in NFL
4) 9 Passes of 20+ yards- Tied for 22nd in the NFL
5) 6.2 yards per pass attempt- 25th in NFL
6) 56.3% completion percentage- 30th in NFL
7) 144 Passing attempts- 16th in the NFL
8) 26.4 of passes completed create first down-32nd in the NFL

The number that jumped out to me was the number of pass attempts, 144. Hill has thrown the ball in the middle area for starting QB's (16th in the NFL), but we are 27th in yards per game. "

Hill has been horrible this season. SO Bad.

Who was he getting so upset at on Sunday? Hopefully himself for his abysmal play. Dude was going to get an ulcer.

56.3% completion percentage- 30th in NFL , this is the one I think the Noodle-Roni lovers should take a long hard look at , this was supposed to be his strength , he so accurate blah , blah, blah , this is horrible , it's not hating and as Method so aptly points out he's near the middle of the pack in attempts and near the bottom in yards. I agree a lot plays into all this but really, if you're being honest the guy has reeked all year

He had one really horrible game against the Falcons, that really tanked his ratings like percentage completed etc. He was one of the best in the league before that game. I blame the o-line and receivers in that game. They didn't have any heart.

"One of the best in the league"?!?!?!?!?! At what? What is it you're seeing that I'm not?

One horrible game and four pretty bad games. He's been one of the best in the league at nothing you want to be best at.

Really, just 1 bad game? Out of 5 games so far he has had 1 game over 60% in comp %, 1 game right at 60%, and the other 3 under 60%. the last game was 39.5%.

Bravo, standing ovation.

Is it too much to expect to have a QB who is a playmaker not a damn game manager? A manager denotes that one is merely a monkey carrying out orders.

With Jimmy Raye running the show its a giving & not a surprise we are dead last in that catagory.

I really do hope the Chargers faulter & they can Turner
so we can bring him back to revive the O

Love the thought, but so not going to happen.

Hill taking sacks on 2nd down helps, running on 3rd does that as well. We need GORE if this is to be a running team.

And it's hard to believe thru 5 games we only have ONE touchdown thrown to a WR. ONE. That is very sad. Many blame that on Hill and the O Line but it doesn't appear that WRs are getting any separation.

I've said it before but get Jason Hill in the game because down the stretch last year, he was a reliable safety valve and he was meshing with Shaun Hill.

Thanks Hill

actually Hill has done pretty well on 3rd downs....its just that either we run the ball on third down....or we put ourselfs pretty far back...

and this is not even counting the 3rd down passes Coffee and our Receivers have dropped that could have been 1st downs.

so even with the drops, Hill through 5 games on 3rd downs, has a

91.8 QB rating and is 32 for 47.

some of those can be check downs...but usually that has to do with the play call...or else Raye would be yelling at Shaun, if he felt it was his fault.

91.8 rating on 3rd down, but no 1st downs. The numbers don't lie, Hill sucks.

Well yeah his numbers are good on 3rd down because we are always 3rd & 11, 3rd & 9 and he completes a 8 yard pass..

in that thread "what can we expect from Rayes offense"...from months ago. I posted we can expect to lead the league in 3 and outs.
I wouldn't be suprised if we lead the league on average yards to go on third downs. Anyone have that stat?
Hill or Smith = boo boo!!!
