how do you know??? he hasnt been given a shot..
The problem is the O-line and that turtle shaun hill
What do you call the 6 month long QB competition?? He had just as much of a shot as the winning "Turtle"!
It's called shaking off the rust after being injured for 2 years, and getting acclimated to football again. Ask Manny Lawson about that one day, and he's at a far easier position to acclimate back. That said, if our TE/WR knew how to catch passes with velocity behind them, who knows how MUCH better Alex would have looked over Hill in preseason?
Well its been a while since he shook the rust off and he was throwing most of his passes at Crabtree's feet the day he practiced with him. Go look it up! Oh, wait! Now you are going to tell me that Crabtree cant catch right...
Get off the wagon cause that kid's ship has sailed. It took off the day Hill was named starter after "SuperSmith" couldn't beat a journeymen out for a QB competition! End of story!
Edit: I knew you were going to come back and refute my argument with a No-link so I went and dug it up:
Crabtree goes through practice No. 2
Quote:
“In 11-on-11 drills, Alex Smith threw another 15- or so catchable pass at Crabtree's ankles that Crabtree could not come up with. Another Smith pass to Crabtree was broken up by the defensive backs.”
