Smith has a reasonable contract for a backup, and performs well in that role. While he did take the franchise for a ride in 05, at least he earned within his "slot":)

I know it is temporary (for Crabtree at least) and I'd like to think it is merely evidence of our outstanding offensive talent, but it is clearly more a residual of this team's schisms over the past 6+ years.
