We should keep Hill on the roster. Just in case Andy Lee gets hurt, Hill could punt with his arms.

Put it this way: if Hill gets traded and goes to the Lions, for example, what would you think if we were playing them? Would you be fearful? What would your gameplan be? Seriously, let's take our homer glasses off for a minute. We can practically find someone who's been CUT and collecting dust, plug him in, and see the same results. Jeff Garcia would do the same job Hill is doing. In other words, no, I'm not happy with Hill's performance at all.
Let's take that to the extreme. Would you be fearful of him playing for the Patriots or one of the other "Upper tier" teams.
I wouldn't I'd take away the short to intermediate routes then make him beat my team with the deep ball. He may get one but I would play the odds that he wouldn't be able to do it more than a couple of times. Meanwhile I let my Defense pin their ears back an have at him.

Didn't we just witness that yesterday , and therein lies the biggest flaw in the Shaun Hill starship , at the end of the day no one respects or fears any aspect of his game, he doesn't dink and dunk you to death , he doesn't beat you deep , his intermediate throws are skippers in the dirt , And remind why he 's a qb? he kinda fails in the crucial requirements of the job
Hmmmmm I seem to recall that someone outlined this very issue prior to the end of last season when people were chokin on Senor Hill's pollo loco.
The only reason most don't listen is cause they aren't an "expert".

Hill may not be the long-term answer, but right now, he's our only answer. With th lack of protection he's had, Alex would have imploded by now and Nate just isn't ready yet. Hill definitely earned the start, but perhaps it's time to put all the Alex arguments to rest if Hill and the passing game don't make a big stride forward (aside from game planning, which also is to blame)after the bye.
Is Alex a different guy than the one who consistently missed open receivers with bad or ill-timed passes? Maybe it's time to find out. I do know our pathetic offense needs a shakeup. If Hill is to be the sacrificial lamb, so be it. but, maybe they should consider moving Sheets from the PS to see if he can inject some life into the running game too, esp if Coffee's hurt more than they'r saying, or Gore doesn't make it back all the way from his injury. ankle's can be lingering, after all.

7-0 At Home nuf said !
7-2 now.
Not looking positive when you stop to consider that Hill rode Gore's TWO touchdowns for the Win against a injury depleted Seahawk team. Take those away and he's 6-3.
But hey he is what he is. You knew what you were gonna get with him. So much for "safe".
~Ceadder
This was Shaun's first loss at home as a starter. 7-1
Losing by 35 points should be considered 2 losses.
Shaun Hill doesn't play DE, CB, FS, SS, KR or RB or WR, or RT or RG or creates his own plays with his fingers in the dirt.
That's true, but neither did Alex. How come it's good enough for him but not for that P#$$Y Shaun Hill?
Oh *SNAPS* that's it. Hill is the underdog. I get it now.
~Ceadder
Found another way to coddle Alex huh...Too bad that P#$$y Smith couldn't even beat a weak QB in Hill so does it even matter??? What does that say about your boy Smitty...ahhhh, maybe in year six guys
Hill was named QB1 because it was the "safe" thing to do.
So how's that workin out for us?
3-2 says not so well. I don't expect to win EVERY game. I just don't expect to see our team embarrassed at Home by a younger QB. If our Offense was better we wouldn't have been. And all apologies but it starts with Hill. Believe what you like, but it's not my intent to ridicule Hill. I'm just pointing out the absolute hypocrisy that goes on with the fans in the Zone.
If that was Smith and we got embarrassed like that, pretty much EVERYBODY would want him yanked. If JTO got embarrassed like that same. Garcia? Same. Rattay? Well not so much, but essentially the same.
Now that Hill is the guy people just say well he's 7-1 at home. Nevermind that 6-0 there was nothing to play for but Pride.
I'm sorry but my Pride dictates that you play your @$$ off regardless. Constant 3 and outs is not playing your @$$ off imho.
All I want is people to hold Hill to tha SAME standards they felt that Smith should play to. The man hasn't btw. Screw the QB rating. I've proven time and again that QB rating is a useless stat.
There are Super Bowl winners that have had really bad ratings. Should I start listing them off? Or how bout those QBs' pre stat?
Too much is made of the "all telling" QB rating.

Dude Brian Jennings can snap farther than Hill can throw. And more accurately too.
Just have the man line up facing the other way and let him go.

Did you just see that play? Now THAT'S how to beat the blitz. Teams will be reluctant to keep blitzing if the QB is making those types of throws under pressure. Hill simply can't do this, and this is a new QB in for Miami too. I'm pretty sure we could pick up a QB off the street and have better success than what we're having now.

Watching Chad Henne & Mark Sanchez throw the ball here on Monday night makes me realize just how limited this offense can be with Hill back there. They make the outs look easy & the deep pass so simple & pretty. We are gonna have to deal with this game management all year long, which also means 8-9 in the box & blitzs all year. I still believe we can make the playoffs, but its gonna be tough.

Would give the term "sack" a new meaning

As long as Raye is our OC don't ever expect us to be an offense like the ones you've seen tonight.

Just watched the Jets/Dolphins games and both starting QBs with 8 NFL starts between them looked far better than Hill. Face it Hill really sucks.. Anybody that thinks he is a starting caliber QB is nuts. Hill is not the answer short or long term..
Put Smith back in, and let's see, one last time, if he has the right stuff. If not, then we move on, without Smith and definitely without Hill, because he is just a pie chucker.

I was HOPING for a post like this when I clicked on this thread, because I feel the exact same way.
Seems like these college QBs are making a faster impact in the NFL, Henne looks like a real deal QB to me, he was amazing tonight.

Did Smith become a HoF over the offseason and I missed it?

I am a Hill supporter, but I'm not delusional to think he's our future. And yes, I also saw the game tonight and Henne/Sanchez were very impressive!
COLT MCCOY for 2010!!!!!!!!
