Did you really think they were going to penalize an East coast team. Especially in NY/NJ? Goodell would not hear of it. Especially from a team that isn't relevant anymore. The 49ers would get hit hard if they did it though. Already did once against they equally inept Bears.

ummm maybe because it was the NINERS that dropped the charges since "they have their guy" and not bc they were dropped by roger? but you know what, its ok though, cuz we dont need the extra draft picks considering how we are going to win the superbowl this year

The 49ers are a joke as a franchise, team, orginization, whatever. We are the west coast Buffalo Bills.

I'm not surprised. That's what happens when you have an ownership and front office with no balls. This is pretty much more of the same.

This is probably what happened. Godell: "Drop the charges son. This is giving the league a black eye." Jed York: "Well golly gee sir. I'm sorry we gave you all this trouble."

Someone needs to take a look under Jed's bed an let us know if there is a can of Ether and a Jar of Vasoline under there.

Cause I think that good old Rodger Goodell paid him a visit to soothe hurt feelings.

Back in the 80's I could never have imagined suffering through the kind of pathetic bull**it with the Niners we are all suffering through now. How many ways and on how many levels are we going to be forced to watch the leadership of this team fail?? If they put 1/10th of the inventiveness they use when coming up with ways to disappoint their fan base into a game plan we might be undefeated. How many times are we gonna be forced as a team to gargle on Gooddell's b*llz? What's worse is we do it WILLINGLY. Ugh.....I want to be sick.

It seems kind of strange that Goddell and the league took the lead in the Bears tampering charge and wouldnt allow it go away. Must not have been anythng to our tampering allegation.

Pressure from league office. Can't let the audience think that there is tampering going on. Everything with the NFL is "fair!"
