there are many ways to beat blitzes and stacking the box. you can screen the hell out of them, delay/draw the mess out of them, or heck just dump off/wheel to your running backs/tight ends. the point is that there are many things you can do to combat blitzes and 8-9 in the box without having to develop a play that requires a 5 or 7 step drop.
