It would be a Sign & Trade, basically the other team agrees in principle to a contract with Crabs, we sign him to that contract and trade him to the team for what they are offering.

No team would trade simply for the "rights" to him unless there was tampering involved. They would require a contract to be in place, and Im sure there is some enforceable agreement to ensure the trade actually takes place once the contract is signed.

You mean Dallas and Baltimore? Lets just call them out, Deion still has contacts for both teams, he played last for Baltimore and they are in dire need of WR's and Deion swings from Jerry's nutz.

I don't get this whole thing about more money. If he is good, the niners will take care of him in 2 years. they sid with Staley, Gore, and Harlson. The niners take care of good players. He should look at it as 16 million for 2 or 3 years and the nineres will most likely take care of the next contract.

WRONG, they will have his rights, right up until draft day (2010) just like we would if we didn't trade him. No team is going to trade for him unless they know he will sign and I think the only team that knows he would sign with them is the Cowboys and im sure they will just take there chances on drafting him.

The Cowboys won't be picking high enough to take him if he re-enters the draft. Crabtree should go no lower than the 15th pick. Dallas will be picking in the late 20's. But, your probably right about the draft rights if someone knows more about this please give your input.

If Deion was telling the truth (which I doubt) I suspect the 2 teams involved could be the Cowboys and Redskins. We all know Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder do not hesitate to pay top dollar for big name players! And there is a common link... DEION SANDERS!!! Also, we know the Redskins were suspected of tampering in the case of Albert Haynesworth.

You guys need to read the Toreador article on the home page. It is spot on. Why any company would want him on an endorsement deal at this stage is a mystery and I would think any deal would require he be an active player anyway, so those monies would or should dry up in short order.
The comments about the competition he faced and how his stats were padded are ery interesting as well and it's surprising more was not made of it when discussing his record-setting years.
It would not surprise me if he didn't turn out to be God's gift to receiving after all, and if he doesn't sign with us, I certainly hope that turns out to be the case.

No way he is top 15, if he truly is dissing an NFL owner no team will take him in the first. And any team that isnt the cowboys that takes him would have to fork over $40m or have this happen again.

But he wont make it to the draft, if he doesn't sign he will be traded to a team willing to take his baggage.
