Our Q.B. gets sacked...their Q.B. does not!

We were 16th in sacks last year. If we had 2 more, we would have been 13th. Just 5 more and we would have been 10th. Without that big nickel that we employed we could have been in that territory.

The point is that this pass rush isn't as terrible as people make it out to be.

But....but....we don't get sacks! They're the home run of football!

You said pal, we don't get sacks!

Hmm...

Exactly, eat crow BigMar. I'd say that was a HUGE sack by justin smith at a critical time, wouldn't you?
Justin Smith had two drive ending plays, Haralson did it in the 1st half (he should've had 3 sacks) and Lawson showed good support in the pass rush allowing them to do that.

Our scheme was better than ever, but with that said I'm still not convinced by Sopoaga, Ray Mac much better than him, and Balmer I didn't notice at all if he played.

Another performance like this next game by our defense and we will be 2-0.

If the 9ers truely want to be a playoff caliber defense... they better discover somebody on our defense (in addtion to Haralson) who can consistantly SACK the Q.B.

This team ain't going to the playoffs with only one player (Haralson) who can SACK the Q.B.

Season after season, decade after decade, one common theme with our 9ers....

Our Q.B. gets sacked

and

their Q.B. does not!

Wow the Cards got 1 more sack,,,Was the play at the end of the game when J Smith a HUGE sack in my eyes,,,did i just dream that up? And regaurdless what you think the defense STILL was able to contain one of the BEST offenses to just 16 points...Incliding a 1st and 10 at the Niners 38 giving up just 5 yards at the end of thew game.

This is still hilariously funny, congrats BigMar for not "knowing" anything about football.

Nothing except.....that "SACKS" do indeed factor into WINS!

Which is not what you said. You said we have no pass rush, which we do. Both of the interceptions weren't results of sacks, but quarterback pressures/knockdowns/hurries. One of the interceptions led to points, which is probably why they won, not the sacks. Nice try though.

what do you think most important yesterday

all the pressure which caused the turnovers, and forced warner to dump the ball off to hightower with willis waiting for him, or the pressure that caused warner to rush his throws for inclompetions

or the 3 sacks
