I can't wait to see a photo of krizay modeling a Davis jersey.
I'm a fan of Davis despite him not being a natural pass-catcher. But until I see that success in practice translate into production on the field, he'll still be known as the fastest blocking TE in the NFL.
Keep him in as a blocker until his contract expires, then export his ego to another team. That, or bundle VD and Smith for a 6th round draft pick or a water boy.
I'm not a hater, but definitely a critic, since he has done little, except block well, to warrant a number 6 pick. And the attitude and immaturity haven't helped. However, the reports from camp are indeed encouraging. Besides apparently better hands, he seems to understand the intellectual needs of the position better and has obviously worked hard during the offseason to improve both areas. Whether all this translates into the regular season, we'll have to wait and see, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I do have to add though, that if, in this offense, he fails to produce and blossom, any support I might have given him will expire and he would have to finally, be labeled BUST, based on where he was drafted.
No! He dropped 3 easy passes during practice Tue(??) unitil Singletary got on his ass! Show me what he can do during games and real competition and ONLY THEN will I change my mind.

I used to think VD was a pain in the *** but now seeing the Crabtree fiasco . . . VD looks like a choir boy. 15 yard celebrating penalty vs. year long hold out . . . brutal.
