my friend and I have a bet for the 49ers @ Eagles game that we are going to, the loser plays for the entire trip...

I had to move from Frisco to Santa Barbara for work. Don't even get me started on all the cholo f**king Dodger fans that I have to put up with...and laker fans...ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Anyways, I digress. My buddy down here is from Long Island and we have a $500 bet on the fact that the Niners a) make the playoffs and b) we have a better record than the stupid f**king Jets and Dirty Sanchez....anyone think this is possible? (We made a rule that it is a push if one of the two happens)

So my colleague and I have decided to make the bet as best out of 3 categories. Any advice on what that 3rd category should be?...should be fair and rational for both of us.

So far, here are the 2 categories...

1. Gore will have a better overall 2009 season than LT (by NFL.com ranking)

2. Overall, Niner Defense will be ranked higher than the Chargers D (by NFL.com ranking)

3. ANY ADVICE? (individual or team stats? most sacks...I'm out of ideas)

That's not what I meant. The Cardinals lost the game on their own. The Seahawks got raped by the refs when they played the Steelers.

I should have said one of Pitt's championships belongs to the refs.

Did you forget the 2 illegal blocks on that int return at the end of the half? Any flag there and no 7 points as time would have expired. Pittsburgh should have had 7 less points.

Somebody in Vegas called the Ref corps on their NFL Football phones on the sidelines and put the fix in. They didn't want to pay out all that Moolah if the Cards had won it all.

Either that or the crowd looked up as Caesar Goodell gave the thumbs down. He would have fed them to the Lions but they are young and toothless.

The Cardinals were the worst team to eke into the Super-bowl, since the "dirty bird" falcons in 1999 ........... The fact that they were there at all, is embarrassing. I am grateful that at least the Steelers (a respectable organization) were able to keep those wretched, pathetic desert dwellers from tainting the Lombardi trophy!

I am a 9er faithful and my wife is a cheese-head. Every year we make a bet to see who will have the best record but it gets better. Her entire family calls every sunday to harass me as I watch the game. The bet usually ends up as a fun date, 2 years agao I had to by the monday night game when the Packers played the Broncos (I live in Colorado) and they were in the endzone where Farve launched the pass in OT. It was great the crowd went dead silent. This year I finally got my jerseys framed and mounted in the basement for all to see, it is great. Come 9ers I need the rest of the memorabilia displayed!!

ok...so i was at work and my co-worker was ragging on the 49ers....so we decided to make some bets....o...he is a Pats fan by the way

Bet #1: Frank Gore Finishes top 3 in rushing yards-$25

Bet #2: Niners D finishes top 5 in total D-$20

Bet #3: Pats D does not finish top 5 in total D-$15

Bet #4: The Pats wont win the Super Bowl-$20

so im just wondering if you guys think it was good to back the 49ers or do you think i will be out $80 at the end of the season?

It seems like a reasonable bet. It could go either way. I make those kind of bets too with my Seahawk buddies. It's the bragging rights that is more important. Good luck esse!
