"After spending a lot of time this spring thinking
about my NFL future, I have made a decision to
retire," Urlacher said in a statement he posted on
Twitter. "Although I could continue playing, I'm not
sure I would bring a level of performance or passion
that's up to my standards. When considering this
along with the fact I could retire after a 13-year
career wearing only one jersey for such a storied
franchise, my decision became pretty clear."

He was very good. IMO, a bit over-rated but still avery good football player.
Man, I hope these guys know what they're doing.
They turn down more money for 1 season - not even a full year, than most of us make in 5.

He was not overrated , just had a boatload of nagging injuries.
BTW him announcing this retirement just put a spotlight target on some other team to sign him. He'll be a patriot or raider or some other experimental team.
