"After spending a lot of time this spring thinking
about my NFL future, I have made a decision to
retire," Urlacher said in a statement he posted on
Twitter. "Although I could continue playing, I'm not
sure I would bring a level of performance or passion
that's up to my standards. When considering this
along with the fact I could retire after a 13-year
career wearing only one jersey for such a storied
franchise, my decision became pretty clear."
He sucked
he's a dumb@ss for not choosing to take the 1 year deal the Bears offered him. He's all about money
Overrated
He was very good. IMO, a bit over-rated but still avery good football player.

Man, I hope these guys know what they're doing.

They turn down more money for 1 season - not even a full year, than most of us make in 5.

translation: nobody was interested in signing me.
Who really cares?
Too much pride to take less money, reality is your body gets old, happens to everyone! Deal with it!
He was not overrated , just had a boatload of nagging injuries.

BTW him announcing this retirement just put a spotlight target on some other team to sign him. He'll be a patriot or raider or some other experimental team.
