Chris Ault to the Chiefs

Chris Ault, father of the pistol offense, told me one QB who'd be really good at running it would be: Alex Smith! "An Alex Smith could run the read system also," Ault said. "I remember him at Utah, he would have been an excellent pistol quarterback."

I do too...

But, I will admit, Andy is already doing some good things for that organisation. Chief fan will cream himself if they go 8-8 or better
He'll come to us as an OC when Roman leaves book it
And ofcourse after he helps us...I mean the chiefs to an 8-8 record
Baalke is behind this...book it.

Just a little insurance goes a long way
I guess Coach along with Roman don't need anymore input. IMO they were the most diverse offense in the NFL at the end of last season, and they haven't scratched the surface yet.
So didn't he say out of respect for Kaep he wouldn't help people decipher the pistol?

Bruce Feldman @BFeldmanCBS

Several NFL tms approached WSU asst Jim Mastro (who helped develop The Pistol) to learn abt defending the scheme, but he declined

Mastro told those NFL teams that as long as Colin Kaepernick is in NFL he won't help em with ways to defend The Pistol

Anything they do to improve their team I'm all for ...once they win 8 games we can all pop the champagne cork and celebrate having an additional 2nd rounder

Well that makes me feel like I actually know WTF I was talking about when I said 'Alex Smith does have good mobility to be able to run that and have the defense respect that possibility.'

Alex has good mobility maybe even great mobility. Colin has as good of mobility as any qb who has ever played the game.

I don't want either of them taking lots of hits though.
