He'll have to pass Willis first.

He already did
Great career. HOF. I agree he should retire.
whatever you think of Lewis off the field, he's one of the best leaders ever to play the game.

yes its time to call it a career for the great Ray Lewis.

greatest MLB of all time.
My favorite non 49er player ever

Guy was amazing I dont think Im ever gonna see a linebacker as great as him again

maybe its me

but announcing this before the playoff game will certainly impact the team

defense will play their hearts out, the offense will probably put more pressure on themselves.
Meh, it's about time. I could see him joining our coaching staff as a LB coach or assistant down the road...assuming he'd rather do that instead of being a sports commentator.

Why choose to coach the 49ers?

watching the "A Football Life' episode on him, i got the sense that he wants more family time. but who knows, after a year away, he might miss the spotlight.

Best LB core in the NFL plus Harbaugh ties, of course I'd rather him coach our team than any others, but maybe he'd prefer the Ravens.
