And this is a report suggesting that he was disoriented and confused and didn't immediately pull his friend out of the car. Am I supposed to be surprised? This report in no way shows that he was a dick for any reason except that he drank/drove.
He had his wits about him enough to refuse a breathalyzer, and then to resist (at first) a mandated blood test.

Wow ..you took the first letter, matched it up with a world, then added a bunch of other words to make a sentence.

Yes. I don't remember him calling himself a hero.
I have been in plenty of accidents and witness to even more, people do crazy things after crashing hard.
I saw a guy lose his leg at the thigh but he still tried to get up.
She should shut her face

Apparently he didn't have enough wits to make rational decisions because he drove drunk, refusing a test is par for the course.

That's because NFL players generally have nice rides and like show off their bling. But I'm with you, a chauffer service would be wise to use, especially on party nights. That said, Irresponsible is the word to describe this Cowboy and now he's got to live with this for the rest of his life.

So, my thoughts on this as it relates to the niners are...
This is a brutal match up for us this week. The Pats now have a run game. If we go big nickle with Bowman as the 6th "DB", the Pats can run on us. If we stay nickle or base defense, Brady can pick us apart in the middle. On the offensive side of the ball, I expect the Pats to focus on disciplined run defense and trying to take away the deep pass, giving us chances over the middle of the field for short and medium gains. The pressure will be on Kaep to manage the game and take advantge of these intermediate 5-15 yards opportunties. Also, Akers needs to have much better week for us to pull this one out. Though I expect Harbaugh and his staff to have an excellent game plan, and, hopefully, give us a chance to win this tough road test.

If his teammate died from smoke inhalation, you are right that he is possible a moron.
If his teammate died from the blunt force trauma of the car accident.... You are over reacting.

This part of the story is absolutely stupid. Has anyone heard of something called SHOCK? Of course he wasn't coherent, he was drunk and in shock! He wasn't just thinking "I don't care".
Is he a giant douche for the accident? Sure. But this whole "he didn't help him!" thing is absurd. Very few victims of severe accidents are coherent or have even a partially functioning brain. This is accident response 101 knowledge.

sounds like the dude making the report wants attention.......... no one really believes that brent is a hero regardless of what happened after the crash.
