well for whatever reason romo still seems to be the darling quarterback of the media. I have never never seen people like troy aikman, jaws, gruden for example make excuse after excuse for this guy. now he has had what,, maybe 7 or 8 turnovers in two games and those guys still tell us with a straight face, they are not his fault? i can not understand this for the life of me

Texas, the 2nd largest state in the country that had 1 football team, when this America's team BS started. This equates to a huge population, and homers buying cowboy jerseys, so of course they are going to sell more than other [right]teams. This is how Jerry Jones came up with this nonsense. A better factor would have been to take the number of sales and figure out the ratio of jerseys sold against the population. Then again, if Rhode Island had a team and sold 5 jerseys, they would be America's team. Maybe they should take a census on who is America's team. I was at the 49ers jets game in NJ, and you would have thought the 49ers were playing a home game. And this is clear across the country.

The term "America's Team" is a popular nickname in the United States that refers to the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League.
The nickname originated with the team's 1978 highlight film, where the narrator opens with the following introduction:
They appear on television so often that their faces are as familiar to the public as presidents and movie stars. They are the Dallas Cowboys, "America's Team".
