I love that all the other CBS guys have to tweet out how great the hire is and how excited they are to have him on CBS.

CBS' hiring of @JasonLaCanfora as an "NFL Today" insider means that Charley Casserly is a free agent. I'm curious to see where he'll land.

Best I could find:
DECEMBER 11, 2010
CBS averaged a 2.9 rating and 4.393 million viewers for The NFL Today pregame show, up 21% and 20%, respectively, from last year (2.4, 3.670 mil), and the highest average since the network resumed NFL coverage in '98. CBS still trails FOX, whose FOX NFL Sunday show averaged a 3.4 (best since 2004) and 5.3 million (best since 2001) through Week 13.
