Replacement Refs for 2012?

NFL's new mantra is player safety....bringing in scrub refs is bad form

happened back in 2001... NFL hired a lot of college refs and the first week they didn't do too bad. I hope this situation can be resolved quickly... otherwise it will just add up to another crappy off-season (with the never ending stories about concussions, bounties, tebow/manning, ect)
