I doubt they would have waived him if they thought he had any chance of being healthy enough to play this year.
But IF he did recover fully, it would be pretty awesome to see the 9ers sign him. Not going to hold my breath....
Whatever happens, I hope he gets healthy enough to earn another shot somewhere.
