It's a good idea. They go 1/4 speed, just try not to get hurt and want the game to be over. The Pro Bowl has become a joke over the last 10 - 15 years. Just cancel it. Nobody wants to play it anyway.

Put in a skills competition like some have suggested, and like the NHL does, and people will watch. Otherwise, it's worthless. I can't even remember the last time I watched the Pro Bowl.

Would be better if they held the announcements in the new NFL awards show and gave the selected players a nice trophy, like the baseball silver slugger or gold glove. This would also stop the extra 20 players who shouldnt make it but do based off super bowl players bowing out, last minute injuries, etc.
All sports All-Star games are garbage, but the pro-bowl was real bad.
Yeah I think it has to be done with because no one wants to get hurt or play hard for fear of injuring someone else. It was so boring and hard to watch this past year.

Back when the players were only making on average 20k a season that free trip to Hawaii meant something. That just isn't the case any more.
I really think they should name the all pro players from each conference and host a skills demonstration for the fans the weekend/week prior to the SB in the town that is hosting the SB. QBs can have targets to throw at, lineman can have a weighted sled to push similar to a tractor pull to show strength, wide outs could have races, running backs could have a zigzag course to run etcetera. This way those playing in the big game can come out and make a showing and thrill the crowd. Any injury that could happen there could happen in practice so there wouldn't be much risk at all. Too stretch out the competition each team could send a player of their choosing to represent them in each skill. This way the teams with stellar players who are mired on a perennial losing team could showcase themselves.
